I've noticed a few posts talking about he 180SX with the S15 front end. I thought I'd clarify what it's called. In Japan they call them Strawberry Face 180's. Why you ask? Well the front is from an S15 and in japanese 1-5 is ichi-go and ichigo also happens to mean strawberry. So you have a strawberry face 180SX http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif The swap really isn't very hard anymore. At first you had to do tons of work to fit the fenders to the 180SX but now there are companies that make kits for the conversion so all you need from the S15 is the headlights and the hood. The front bumper and fenders are provided to make the swap easier. If you guys don't know what I'm talking about below is a picture of a strawberry face.

Dude, that looks sweet. Makes me want to get that front end but I bet it cost a grip.

I love the pic of S13 with those lights. Any idea of how much it costs?

Does anyone know who sells the light conversion for the 89- 240 coupe to make it look like a S13 silvia?

Way too much for my budget.

No offense to anyone (this is only a personal opinion) but I can't stand when people put GTR front bumpers on their cars be it a civic, accord, 240, or whatever. I kind of see it as a degredation to the Skyline. Yeah it may look like one from the front but it can't move like one. But I don't have problems with the Sil-Eighty, One-via, SF-180 Swaps. Why? Because they are pretty much all from the same car. The only difference being the body style and in the S15's case a different ecu, turbine and bigger injectors. About whoever asked about the S13 front end for his 240. It's pretty expensive. Even in Japan at the Tokuyama parts yard where I usually get stuff for my Silvia the S13 front ends are almost impossible to find. Why? Becuase every drifter is going and buying them up so they are becoming more and more rare. If you actually find one you'll definantly be paying 1000+ for it. The situation may be different in the Tokyo area but around Iwakuni/Hiroshima/Tokuyama (Yamaguchi pref.) they are hard as hell to find. I was going to buy some to bring back with me but I wasn't about to pay 1000+ for just one withouth even knowing if they were going to be in demand when I got back to the states. I think the cheapest way to get one would be to go on vacation to tokyo and while you're there hit up some parts yards and locate one. Yes the hood would be expensive to send but you could always get one of those aftermarket ones from Bomex or Jun and probably end up breaking even. Then all you would need to send is the headlights, bumper mounts, fenders and front bumper. Of course you could also get a front bumper from Bomex or Jun and save yourself alot of trouble. If you think about it all you really need is the fenders bumper mounts, and headlights http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif If anyone is serious about getting one I can see if there are any available at the parts yards.

He's talking about the Silvia S13 front end. Not the 240SX front end. The Silvia S13 has fixed headlights unlike the 180SX stlye pop up lights on the 240SX S13... No one actually sells a kit to do the conversion. you have to find the stock bumper, fenders, headlights, hood and bumper mounts from the s13 silvia. From there everything literally bolts right on. I helped a Japanese friend do the conversion on his '97 180SX and it only took a couple hours. The longest part was wiring the headlights. Nissan actually sold a factory sil-eighty in limited release a couple years ago. It had the '88-'90 stlye S13 headlights (two squares instead of projectors that came on teh '90.5+ S13) and it had the '97 180SX rear, you know the one with the new style taillights. If I remember correctly the K's aero version ran like 26,000 dollars...

So does anyone sell the whole strawberry face conversion? I've been able to find lights($900) and the fenders but not a whole kit. How much would the whole conversion cost?

I can get the S13 strawberry face conversion kit. The kit comes with fenders, hood, and bumper, all in fibreglass (and it's alot cheeper than getting a Veilside kit). It mount's directly where the factory stuff does. I'm trying to get a better deal for the headlights too. The headlights alone are $900. But I'm trying to pull a few strings right now. Hit me up if your interested, maybe I can get a groupdeal if I get enough responses. Rbd30det@excite.com
www.boostfactor.com (http://www.boostfactor.com) (will be up soon)

No, it's not the Vis one. I didn't know Vis made a strawberry face conversion. Mine's comming from (Japan). I'll get more spec's and hopefully a pic for you guys.

For all members:
Please be careful not to shorten the words Japan or Japanese to "Jap". Many on these forums may not care, but let's try not to forget those that might.

I'm sure nothing negative was meant by it, but just to be on the safe side....
