For any of you that may be interested, there are two upcoming possibilities to check out your car on an autocross course. If you've never done it, it is an absolute blast!

The weekend of Apr. 20-21 there is a practice event on Saturday and a championship event on Sunday. If you've never autocrossed before, I highly recommend the practice. You get more laps and are able to get settled in the car better. It's $30 and for more info you can call Steve @ 619-698-4138. These usually sell out in advance, so call now!

There is also another practice on Sunday, Apr. 28. Also $30, and you can call Rainer @ 760-439-0357 or Elliot @ 858-679-0777 for more info.

I'll be at the one on the 20th, and possibly the 28th also in my Vibrant Blue Spec-V (yellow number 49).

Here's a link to the San Diego Solo II (autocross) site:

San Diego Solo II Site (http://www.sdr-solo2.com/)

Hope to see you there!

how many laps do u get in a day?
my old boss complained that SCCA events only gave about 3-4 laps cause the damn place was so busy. the rest of the time he was stuck flagging corners and taking times. that's why he went over to the BMW CCA cause they ran 3 or 4 times the laps as the solo guys did.

That's why I recommended the practice events.

The event on the 20th gives you 8 runs. The one on the 28th has one hour and 15 minute run groups limited to 25 cars per group. The number of runs would depend on how big the course is.
