Hey,
Is the 240sx convention this summer in lieu of or as well as the annual Mile Square BBQ?

Summer BBQ at Mile Square is sort of a "kick off" party for the convention. The BBQ will be about 6 weeks before the actual convention.
I'm moving this to the Meets and Gatherings forum if you want to continue discussion.

Will you have a date anytime soon? You should really get the mags to cover both events... images/icons/grin.gif

If you were on the SoCal list you'd know that the date is June 15th.
I'm not going to post any info on it unless I have details hammered out. I hate posting info like "Hey, there might be a meet" and not be able to follow through with what I wrote.
As for media coverage, the convention should have no less than Super Street, SCC, Overboost.com, Speedoptions.com, and a few others to cover the event.

No s h i t-way, you're tell me that if I was "on the exclusive Alex Chang-groupie SoCal 240sx list know that the date [of the BBQ] is June 15th"? (note: sarcasm) I'd also be privy to tons of great 240sx info, too?? Wow!
You'll have to excuse me for wanting to avoid a billion off-topic and very unentertaining e-mails in my e-mail inbox. Regardless, I'm sure there are enough 240sx locals who would like to know when this BBQ is without have to sign in for some gay yahoo group...
Yeah, I'm sure all the pubs you mentioned are going to the 240SX CONVENTION. In fact, you and Mamos will likely want to re-acquiant yourselves with Ricky Chu as he'll probably be covering the event. But I digress... it'd be nice to kill two birds with one stone as both events are relatively close in time frame...

kids kids...
this doesnt need to degenerate into a shooting match between u and alex chang.
Both should be fun to go. One thing that'd be nice is an a newsletter like people could sign up for newsletter where a mass mailing will happen kinda like the ACA families events/ weekly letters (alex will know what im talkin bout). wouldnt be much to ask sumone to be accountable tho.

You could've put yourself on "No Emails" mode, or I could've put yourself on that... Just because you are subscribed doesn't mean you should read all of the emails.
I'll post more info on the event when time is closer (in a week or two). I'm not implying that everyone should join the list; I'm merely stating that the SoCal list would be the best place to find out info.
I really don't care who covers the convention, as long as they cover it the way it should be covered.
And it is hardly my list.
