I passed someone in an SE-R or Spec V on I-35 right around Faribault this morning at 9:05. Was it you It's_Me? RobSpecV? MN_Spec_V? I was the Black Spec V in the northbound lanes winking my lights at you, you were southbound in a silver one.

I know it wasn't a regular Sentra because of the front end difference.

Just curious if it was one of you guys.

Hey Its Me, did you put your stock spoiler back on? Just wondering if the guys let you down. Or did you try to cut the other spoiler? images/icons/tongue.gif

JSP<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial[/img]Excuses, excuses. I ran into a buddy of mine today who won't be there with his 600hp 3000GT VR4 because he claims he is getting married that weekend. What's up with that?

JSP<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial[/img]Women or cars? It's a tough one.

But I digress...

The motorsports calander for the Twin Cities area can be found at www.mnautox.com (http://www.mnautox.com) - it's the web site for the Minnesota Autosports Club, probably the biggest non-marque specific enthusiast club (outside the LOL-SCCA) in the area.

The 6/2 event is being held at the Minnesota Highway Safety Center in St Cloud. Directions and a layout of the facility can be found at this link; http://www.aarrf.com/events/mhsc.html

I'm not sure how I am going to lay out the course yet - a lot will depend on the logistics - but count on both of the big lots (on right side of map), a good portion of the high-speed course (top portion of map) and hopefully the new infield kart track (left side of map) as well. It should be long and fast.

Cost per event this year is I believe $25 for MAC members, $30 for non-members.

I should add that in addition to my other duties, I am a designated driving instructor for MAC and I can ride along with anyone who is new to autocross and offer advice as you drive.

It's kinda cool really.

Jojoe - about your first autocross. Take it nice and easy. Make sure idiot newbie spectators don't, for example, stand by the exit gate, thus forcing you to crash your car into a fence or a hill (or both) to avoid their fat asses. That would be my worst autocross experience ever.

My favorite autocross experience of all time was beating the 2 Grand Ams, and 1 of the Grand Prixs in my 1982 Cadilac Eldorado. That car was definitely NOT an autocrosser. But it's about good driving first and foremost.
