Any feedback, good or bad, on any of the dealerships in North Carolina?

There's only 4 that I know of (2 of these are owned by the same company) so I don't have a lot of choices, unless I go out of state.

Neither Raleigh nor Greensboro budged as much as Charlotte, but the service I received at Charlotte wasn't that great. In Raleigh, talk to Philip Veiner. In Charlotte, don't talk to the British guy.

Does anyone have any feedback on Modern Infiniti in Greensboro?
How is their service dept?

I'm getting my G35 Coupe from them. Salesman, sales manager, and GM all seemed real nice and were very helpfull. None of the NC dealers would come down from MSRP on the Coupe, which I expected.
I took the Sedan out twice to get the feel of an Infiniti product. Very nice. They have a few of them in stock, but I"m not sure what kind of prices they are asking.
Haven't heard anything about the service dept. yet. Guess I will find out later.

I know your query is regarding NC dealers, but I would urge you to check out [censored] Smith Infi in Columbia SC (1.5 hrs south of Charlotte). I have a G35 sedan on order from them and I've received nothing but good service from them. I did all negotiating on the phone and am now looking forward to picking up my car. Also, they promised not to pull any last minute tactics when I take delivery.

I'm surprised you got a decent deal from Infi of Charlotte. Read my reply to an earlier post from the guy who got screwed on his coupe order..BluG was his name I believe. Also, the british guys name is Rodney and he's a smooth operator....will probably take you for every dime you've got.

Good luck!

Sorry, but the name really is DickSmith....guess the auto profanity sensor is really sensitive. The name really is two words, but hopefully this will work.

I went to the one's in Raleigh, Winston, Greensboro and Charlotte to test drive the G35 sedan and get some prices.
My feeling was that the salesmen and sales managers at Winston, Greensboro, and Raleigh were more knowledgeable and easier to deal with.
When and if I get my car I will be using one of those three.

Their advertising fee is built into the dealer invoice. It is called "marketing assessment". It pays for all the national advertising on TV. Ask them if they will cut you a check for $895 for advertising their franchise on the back of your new Infiniti.

have any of you guys talked to the fleet managers. unlike salesman and sales managers which are on commision, fleet managers are on salary so anything they make over invoice are actually their commission and are not required to meet certain quotas, etc, blah blah...

I had a bad experience at Infiniti of Raleigh. Sales guy was nice but the Sales manager tried to low ball my trade in and take 300 off the sedan's sticker. I sold my BMW myself for 4K more than the trade-in price and went back for a straight up deal. Still didn’t want to come down much. They didn’t have the car I wanted on the lot but I knew where one was less than 200 miles away. They told me that car was “sold” and the closest one was in NJ. At 2 cents a mile they said I would have to pay $1,200 to get it shipped to Raleigh.

I called the dealer with the car I wanted and he still had it but didn’t want to trade with Raleigh. I gave up on them and made a deal with DFW. No problems, better price and delivered to my door.

I've had sales and service experiences with all four Infiniti dealerships in North Carolina, and found a universally high level of professionalism. Infiniti training and dealership relationship programs in this area must be fairly effective.

I agree about the stupidity and arrogance of the British sales guy at Infiniti of Charlotte. I went there Dec. 23 & asked for literature on the G35 Coupe, he said they were out and asked if I had ordered the car yet. I said no, I was just in the process of considering the car... He said "I can't help you then..." and walked away. He was totally disinterested in trying to get my name & phone to follow up with me later, or actually taking the time to talk about the car, etc. How is an incompetent salesman like that able to snow the sales manager that he is doing anything resembling a good job? I won't be going back to that dealership. http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/frown.gif

Blug, no, I always inhaled.

But I've dealt with sales and service departments at each of the four North Carolina Infiniti dealerships for 10 years. They're not perfect, but their level of service is superior to other car companies. If you treat them with respect, they'll treat you with respect.

Your experiences and knowledge of Nissan relationships with dealers sound valuable. Describe how another company beats Infiniti at customer service, and we'll all benefit.

Blug, that definitely gets my vote as a bad day. I last dealt with Infiniti of Charlotte six years ago, and at that time, their service and maintenance were exemplary.

Made an 8AM appointment for my 3750 service. I was offered a loaner car and a car wash/ vacuum. I told them that I would skip the wash/ vacuum and if they could do the service in less than 30 minutes I would wait.

Twenty-five minutes later they were done with the car and the bill was $41.22.
Overall I would rate the service dept. an A+.

The Infiniti dealer in Charlotte used to be privately owned and operated. It was sold to one of the public companies
a couple of years ago. I think the Jordan family was the previous owner. Good people to deal with when I lived there.

That's correct, Walker Jordan, who also owned the Nissan dealership on Independence Blvd. There was also Diane Jordan, his sister, I think. They were fine people to do business with.

I got my car from Infiniti of Charlotte and they have been very good to me. The guy who sold it was named Glen Tullos and he did a very good job.

I have had nothing but good experiences in Charlotte. They are first rate in service IMO. However, I have not gotten service from other Infiniti dealerships but I have heard that not all give loaners with any type of service or with only a days notice. I don't yet have a G but am thinking of buying one because of my experience at Infiniti of Charlotte. I have not met a British guy there. Are you sure he's in the service department?

I do now want to visit the other NC dealerships though.
