View Full Version : What would I expect to pay for a sr20det 510?

After researching the various performance and swapped engines for a 510, I've figured that the sr20det swap would be the ideal. Thing is, I'm not much for doing the swap myself, so Im wondering what one would typically go for. (I am looking for a range perhaps for a car that is not necessarily completely built and cherry)
Thanks, Cat

There are many choices in this matter. The cheapest sr is from the s13. They generally run from $1800-5500. Also the mods needed to install the engine in the dime.

Word of advice, Shop around to get the best price and the most complete front clip. The other is to find someone that is reputable (this is the most important of the two) you don't want to get screwed over. Aslo pay by credit card. That will allow you to get your money back if they do try to screw you.

Good luck,
Nelson

PS Where are you located?

Hi, I guess I could have been more clear in my post. I am interested in a 510 with the motor swap done. The previous car I bought needed a trans/diff/struts, etc etc. and I want to get a runner this time.
I am located in Northern California.

Oh yes, Ive seen a photo of that car before. Looks very nice. A little out of my price range, but maybe that's what they go for, eh(?)

Let me just say that the 510 he's selling is VERY nice. Really clean inside and out. Yes, I've seen it in person and no, I don't have any connection with Marcos.
