Geez can't believe the Sebring is getting refreshed already. Seems like just yesterday the new one came out. Chrysler makes nice looking cars but something about them is so boring.

It is not the design that is boring it is the drive and quality. DRIVE=Boring + Quality=lacking (IMO)

Vehicles seem to go through a trend where some seem to have the same design elements. Even when made by other manufacturers. It's almost as if they all get together and decide how all cars are going to look over the next few years! Just think about how many cars now have the "swept back headlamp theme" : Toyota Celica (which started the trend),Lexus ES 300, Camry, Altima, '03 Accord...and probably many more. And then there are Altezza-style taillamps...you get the point! http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/shocked.gif

This really isn't an issue about Honda AND Chrysler. This would seem to me to be an issue about Honda borrowing styling ideas from Chrysler. Remember that Chrysler originated that particular headlight style with the 300M. If the Sebring is modified as shown in the pic, it is only carrying on a Chrysler styling cue.

Hiwayman17- I guess you could say that Chrysler copied the Acura RSX (Honda) for the refreshed Sebring Coupe.

NO, I simply believe Chrysler is trying to foster a family resemblance and therefore made the Sebring look like the 300M. Honda is the only company that copied anyone.

You could be right Hiwayman17. I had forgotten about the look of the 300M. Anyway...for someone who owns an Acura RSX, you sure are critical of Honda styling!

What is it with people who post here...just because I'm critical of the fact that it would appear as if Honda stole a Chrysler styling cue, it doesn't mean I don't like the styling. Personally I could care less about what the RSX resembles.
And I am critical of other things as well. I hate the fact that the RSX has a sunroof--being 6'5", I need all the headroom I can get and with a sunroof, it's a little tight.

Hiwayman-I didn't mean it in a bad way. Just wanted to point out that you were being honest EVEN when you OWN a product that you think has stolen styling cues. Which, in my opinion, it seems to. Not starting a fight or flame at all. http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/laugh.gif
nissan's stolen plenty of styling cues from other mfgrs (altezzas anyone?)...in fact most cars can't be original in design b/c someone else has 99% of the time designed it earlier...it's just boring when people dog another mfgr for the same behavior nissan displays

most of the time it is not "dogging", just simple observations...
