Interesting to see Mazda trademarked all names from Mazda 1 to Mazda 9. This is obvious because they started a new naming convention...but also interesting is the fact they trademarked RX-1, 3, 5, 6, 9, & 10 for rotary engined cars.

Not all the names listed are for the US, of course.

Not sure if I like the sound of Nissan Nemesis.

But those are some interesting names. There are three pages on this website.

Very interesting is that Ford trademarked "Model U".

wait...just because they trademarked the names...does it mean that those cars with those names are bound to come out in the near to far future? Model U sounds interesting. But this is a little over the top i think for FORD, since FORD does own MAZDA. But i guess if anything happened where mazda couldnt use RX-# anymore...it would be back...since this is their new trend in names? am i right? I do like those names, but some of them sound aggressive... like names for SUV's. How many of them is Nissan going to launch, in addition to the Xterra and the Pathfinder? There were some other interesting ones from Nissan in that list, though.

Ford doesn't own Mazda. Ford owns about 1/3 of Mazda but they do control Mazda via an agreement.

Actually Ford completely owns Volvo, Jag, Aston Martin, RR, Lincoln and Mercury....

Ford is really making me mad. I know they have done wonders for companys like jaguar, and range rover, but it really makes me mad when they start making vehicles that have volvo, mazda, lincon, ford varients.

If they keep going like this, its all just going to be one big company. Fords next focus will have a mazda and a volvo varient, and that really pisses me off. Mazda is doing really well with its japan built protege5, and i bet ford will come in and ruin it. They already have the tribute and escape and freeland which are all very similar. Its going to get to the point where you choose your model, then you pick your brand.
