off line line, i had em ALL! ( im in the 90 240SX, automatic i might add )
right before shifting into 2nd, the SHO pulled ahead of me ( Ford taurus 225fwhp ),
as i the race went on, i put about 4 lenghts on the accord, and maybe 2 on the integra, by this time the SHO had about 3 on me..and was pulling hard. at the end of the race, here's the results:
1st: 90 Ford taurus SHO, intake/exhaust/valves & timing/plugs & wires
2nd: 90 240SX, exhaust/modded stock air box
3rd: 90ish integra, stock
4th: 95 accord, intake

did they make the later model SHO? the ones that look like a UFO. . . on the highway a Taurus with dual tailpipes (we assumed it was a SHO) was messing with my roomate's integra, so he calls me on his cell phone (yea, don't talk and drive right? well, after about 80 mph stupid things come naturally) and tells me to race the Tuarus. i pull up next to it (it was in front of us by a few cars, i was back a bit playing with a civic that had a bunch of girls in it. . . . story explains itself there) and downshift and go. the taurus pulls off of my roomate and chases me, i let up, drop even with him, and drop it again. we were even for a while, then i started pulling ahead. this is with a blown right front strut, at about 110 through 120 the front end started bouncing horribly so i let off, but by then the taurus was decently far behind, and pulled off to the far right. maybe their govorned earlier, or maybe it wasn't a SHO. . .

2phortysx: good job on that! those SHO's are a force to be reckoned with though. Nothing short of a Z or Maxima will give that SHO a good run. Its pretty quick, as you saw (with a stick, anyway).
AceInHole: Ford has SHO models in the "UFO body style" that you refer to. However, every body style previous to that that came as an SHO was a Super High Output V6. The UFO Taurus SHO has the 4.6 liter V8 found throughout the Ford model line. Not quite as potent as the 6 cylinder SHO's, and its not even more than a couple tenths of a second faster 0-60 or 1/4 mile than the regular V6 Taurus.
Keep up da kills! http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif

yeah. i was wondering if there were even UFO SHO's. lolz. well, i haven't taken one at a light, but midnight on the highway. . . .
gotta get rid of that limiter so i can keep up with those accord VTecs though. . . ^__^
Play safe, use radar.

the 1st gen SHO's gonverners kick in at 143 and second gen ( UFO style? ) at 147
My friend ( the one i raced ) runs mid 15's 1/4 mile in utah ( california he'd run 12/13's)
way fast car, hopefully when i get my SR, i'll smoke em.
anyway, the 1st gen's are much fadter than the second gen's do to standard 5 speed manual transmission, and less resrictions ( Ford didnt like the fact that its sedan was faster than its mighty mustang sports car ), so a manual trans wasnt an option in the 2nd gen's. although ( as far as i know ) both engines where made by yamaha, with 210hp and 210 tourqe, the only advantages i have on it is alot less weight, rear wheel drive, and good suspension & handling.
