ive got a story for you folks. the other night i was at a stoplight in my 3 week old frontier SuperCharged with just an intake and this lil eclipse all slammed comes next to me and starts reving his lil motor at me. sounded like he had exhaust, intake, headers and all the other stuff on his car. well, the light turns green and lets just say that i left him seriously in the dust. at the next light he didnt even want to pull up next to me anymore =)
does anyone else with frontiers out there have any similar stories? let us know.

Thats awesome. Though, a GSX might have given you a wee bit more trouble...
I love the fact that Nissan makes FI trucks! What have you seen in terms of dialing up the boost? What is the stock psi? Im sure this truck as some potential.

i think 4-5 psi is the set boost from the SC. im looking into getting a aftermarket pulley for the supercharger to give my truck a bigger boost. something like 30-40 more horses. that would be really sweet =) then maybe i can hang with my friends supercharged tacoma. his truck is kicking butt with 260 horses. of course he paid like $5000 more than i did so i dont feel too bad.

baah. and here i am turboing my little 240. . . wish it was as easy as swapping pullies for me. don't forget the ever important fuel system upgrades!!
keep up the good work. I've wanted a nissan truck (or possibly SUV) to pull around a 240z or maybe a 510 to the tracks to autocross or track race. . . .
Keep up the good work!

hey Ace, Nissan is gonna come out with a full size truck for 2003. V6 or optional V8. imangine putting a supercharger on that V8...id be in heaven. hopefully Nissan reads this and actually takes my advice.haha even though i love my truck, i think i would have to trade it in for one of those bad boys.

A "Wee bit"? lol A GSX does 0-60 in under 7, the Frontier SC does it in over 9 (stocK). A "wee bit' is an understatement. However, it must have been a auto RS/GS? Yes? In either case, great job, that's one for our boys! http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif

yea, im fully aware of the GSX's numbers. A freind of mine has a tuned GS-T running low 12s with 11s in easy reach soon.. I was simply being nice and used "wee bit" for his benefit. ok?
sometimes people get offended when you say... "ha! that musta been a ****ty automatic RS becuase a GSX would have totally destroyed you".

A GSX wrecked a friend of mine. Watching a tuned one launch is like. . . . wow.
Also, I wonder if you could supercharge the V8, lower the truck, make a drag racer out of it or something. haha. have a race car pulling a race car. so cool.

Funny story, he was probably crying after the first light so he didn't catch up. i'm still savin for the svt f-150 though. 380hp, 450lbs torque, insane.

yea, those Lightings are modern day muscle cars from Detroit. Its rather sad that the muscle car has evolved into a truck. Damned soccer moms and hillbillies...
Dont the Lightinings pull 13s stock?
I've a 10 sec 95 Lightining, mod'd of course...

and I myself have been beat by a GSX, its a monster when tuned properly. Too bad it will only go so far and then break down...

yeah, those Lightnings are monsters but... they cost too d*mn much. i went to a local ford dealer and they were asking something like $42k with the dealer mark up. sheesh, i paid half of that so i guess i have another $21k to spend on mods...LOL. or just buy me a supercharged Xterra =)i wish.

Ford Lightnings a TRUCK!???
I don't think so! The same chasis as the SUV
and full crate engine.
It can haul bikes, but be pressed to haul bricks.
Fast, yes. Hot looking, yes. Awesome to watch, YES. Truck usefull, not for long. We can call it a suedo-truck.
