not really a road kill, but this guy deserves jackass of the decade. now let me preface this by saying that here in my neck of the woods we don't have a huge problem with road rage and aggressive drivers, so i pretty much have free reign, but i'm not really a road rager anymore, but this guy takes the cake.
he was mid-thirties, a GOLFER, and driving a late model champagne accord, totally unmodified as champagne accords should stay. for comedy value, and no offense intended towards anyone, we'll call him charlie, just because i need a cute name to give this blatant jackass.
driving down a main street, 5 lanes, speed limit 45, i usually go 55-70 (we also have the best cops on earth for not pulling me over, passed one the other day at nearly 70 in a 35!, didn't even acknowledge me). we'll i change lanes to pass charlie, and charlie sees me and cuts me off on the otherwise open road. so i change back and pass him. i think he tried to race me, but it was pretty pathetic, even with my poorly tuned 91 240sx, that just says something about the these overweightpseudoluxuryeconohacks. over the course of the next few miles he eventually passed me cos i didn't really have anything to prove and i'm fully adjusted to the idiocy of drivers in this town. my right turn is coming up, and he cuts me off again to get in the left lane to turn left. fine, be an arse, just go away. i let it go, make my right turn and move on.
when i arrive at my friends house i parked on the street, and was gettin ready to open the door. check my mirror and whats this!? champgne accord, approaching from the rear. it couldn't possibly be him could it? no he turned left way back there. no its not him, can't be. whats he doing? oh, nothing just trying to take off my drivers door! slid right down the side of my car, the mirrors were inches from colliding. i look at my passenger and am totally bewildered. it was charlie! what a jackass. what a coward. i still don't believe it was him! take a second or two to register all the information, and decide its revenge time. charlie, you coward, did you really think you could get away with this? so i pull out and take a left after him.
got stuck behind a truck briefly, and then it was on. took the corner at about 70 and at the top of the hill he was gone. musta pulled off, check the streets but don't see him. so i turned around. charlie, you coward. there he is heading in the other direction. punch it chewy. catch up to him in a hurry and ride his tail. charlie, you're so dumb. you can't mess with people like that! i didn't really do anything to you. charlie, you dummy, what are you trying to prove you old, girl-car-driving-GOLFER-piece-of-crap! you obviously have some issues charlie.
what are you going to do now charlie? oh, charlie don't slam on your brakes and try to cause an accident. don't do it again charlie! charlie! don't you know how dumb that is. you're going to go to jail, get beaten, sued and i'm going to tell santa you've been bad this year. i avoid the accident, and decide charlie needs more revenge than i can offer him, good thing i don't carry a gun. i pull off and head back to my friends house, park this time in the driveway, and try my best to cool off. end of incident. what a coward.
charlie, go away, i don't want to ever see you again, cos i prolly wont have any constructive criticism, or nice things to say about your pompadour, or your golf swing. charlie i suggest you see a therapist and grow up a little. you obviously have insecurities that i cannot treat without using fists. bye charlie have a happy, guilt ridden, insecure, girl car, life. karma's a **********.

I can somewhat sympathize with you on jackass drivers out for revenge. I was with my buddy on night in his 3rd gen. prelude (fairly small car). We are in the right lane making a right when it stalls. There is a huge Ram Charger behind us and he grows impatient with our lack of forward momentum and begins to flash his brights. My friend gets his car started and makes the turn and continues down the road. All of a sudden the Ram Charger comes barreling up behind us flashing his brights so my friend speeds up. There are now 2 cars going about 30 over on a 4-lane road with light traffic. We come up on a yellow light and my friend goes for it, it turns red before we are even out in the intersection but get through. I turn around to see if he stopped but to my surprise we was about 2 car lengths back, he just ran a red light and could have killed somebody traveling at 65 just to keep up with us. Well he eventually gets in front of us and that would have been the end of it, but no, my friend decides to pull behind him and beam his lights at the Ram Changer. We were extremely luck he didn't decide to further the confrontation because it most defiantly would have resulted in injury. I hate people like that and I wish I could seem more intimidating to keep them away.

My roadrage!
I was driving in my Altima and I have an aftermarket stereo system. I had some girls in the car and they like rap music so they turned it up really loud and there was a white van next to us. He was one of those redneck folks and he floors his car and goes infront of me and brakes and I had to swerve to the left lane or he would of hit him. I got mad and I go behind him and I hold down my horn for about 2minutes. I follow this guy and he keeps swerving into my lane and I can't go behind him because he likes to brake. He is laughing about this because I could see his face in his mirror. I finally decided I don't care if he hits me because I was really mad I would of loved for him to get out of his car so I could take care of him. I floor my car and I go infront of him barely passing him as he trys to hit my car.I go infront of him and the road up ahead turns into a one lane road and I go 5mph infront of him and he bumps my car several times. I get out of the car in rage and he gets out with his left hand still in his car like he has something. I was so angry I didn't care but the first thing I did was call 911 and a guy who saw the whole thing stops his car to the side and tells me dont worry you have me as a witness I thought that was pretty cool. I end up going up to the guy and cussing him out while the girls are laughing and trying to calm me down. That guy was just smiling the whole time. I didn't hit him though that is what he wanted but he thought it was funny that I was mad. Why wouldn't I be?
All I did was have my rap music up too loud and the second he hears it he decides to mess with me. I hate racist.

I had some moron cut me off at the very last minute to jump in my lane and their was tons of traffic. I give him the finger with both hands. As I pull next to him (actually there was a lane between us) he ask me a very dumb question.."Oh,so you gonna give me the finger?". I say "Yea, want me to spell it out for you?". He is apparently nto happy about it and asks why and I tell him the stupid thing he just did and that it could have caused an accident. He goes on for a few moments running his mouth, and I say "You're lucky I just gave you the finger, I wanted to do far worse than that". He still runs his mouth and I ignore him and turn my music up enough to drown out his voice. I go on about my merry way to work once the light turns green. That little redneck in the POS Suzuki better not cross paths wit me again or it's on. I won't throw th efirst punch if it comes to that, but I will surely through the last. I think life is too short and a real b*tch to take sh*t from people.
I actually almost got into it physically when a moron in a tow truck comes beind me on an empty thee lane highway, gets on my a$$ with his bright lights on. I fall back and shine mine on him to see how it feels, and responds by he shining a big spot light on me. I am on my way to work which is right ahead and he follows me there. He gets out and say a few words, which I forgot what he exactly what he said, but basically he challenges me to a fist fight. I tell him "Stop shining those bright lights on people and hogging the road like you own it, and you want have to deal with this. You're not even worth my time, get the f*ck outta here and get away from my car. I go inside to work and all he has to say is "Yur a chicken sheet." What a Looser. I see this driving style and use of high beams with most tow truck drivers.

I would disagree. I haven't met anyone who hasn't had an experience or two similar to these. I myself have been victim to such maniacal crap from other people, but I do admit that I egg it on sometimes. For example:
I was traveling from Arkansas back home to Texas - in Oklahoma on I40 - and I'm pulling up by an 18wheeler. The road is a 4 lane divided highway (2 on each side), and in the left lane is a minivan. The Minivan and the 18wheeler are doing approximately the same speed of about 78mph. The van is at the 18wheeler's cab and not moving an inch from the spot. Noticing this, I get closer to the van to signal that I want him to get past so I can pass the both of them. The van doesn't do it, and contiues to drive same speed - my guess is he had cruise control on. Anyhow, about a minute of this goes on. All of the sudden, I see the van pull forward, the 18wheeler start coming into my lane FAST, and a dodgeram type truck pulling a fully loaded trailer in front of the 18wheeler going slow. I didn't have time to speed up, and I didn't have time to slow down to let the 18wheeler into my lane. SO, I had to pull into the shoulder (if you can call it that) which was a 1ft wide piece of highway. So, at 78mph, I pull into the grass. I brake to slow down and hope to gain some idea of control. I drive a 93 Altima btw. So, as I slow down, my car begins to swivel in the back a little. I took my foot of the brake, checked traffic (by now the 18wheeler is past) and move onto the highway.
I never really thought that I would ever be in a situation such as that, so I didn't know how to react. Luckily, my car didn't fishtail in the grass and roll, and luckily, I wasn't on a bridge or about to hit a guardrail that started a bridge sequence. Plus, I was lucky there weren't any massive rocks or holes in the ground.
So I get back on the road, and I'm perplexed, angry, and scared!!! I wasn't level-headed, but I felt justified in doing what I did next. I floored my car (still can.. http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/wink.gif feels great too!), caught back up to the 18wheeler, and bowed into the passenger seat so I could see his face. I gestured to say wtf? (no middle finger) and he just shrugged back at me. Maybe he didn't even know he did what he did. He could've slowed down for the truck and let me pass, but I doubt he even saw me.
It was the peeps in the van that I was pissed at though. Comparatively, the van was further up than the 18wheeler, which also makes me suspect that the 18wheeler did see and was making sure to see if I came out of it okay. I catch back up to the van and mouth to the guy "That's why you need to move" and gessture my arms forward. He looked sorry and mouthed back either "I know" or "I'm sorry". Couldn't decipher which.
At that point, I couldn't do anything about my frustrations but floor my car again, and I kept driving at 110 for about 15 minutes. Had I not have, and had I stayed back with the morons, I might've gotten angrier and blocked them in so they couldn't pass and crap like that.
I'm floored that some people can drive like such d-i-p-s-h-i-t-s sometimes. I know this isn't the right mentallity, but if people could just drive right, then a lot of this roadrage crap could easily be avoided. Generalization: everyone's always trying to outdo the other person that driving is more like a battle now. Where's the compassion for other drivers??

There are always people who love to drive at the exact speed of the person next to them so other people can't pass them. They are SICK. Well I wouldn't really call it that because when I was younger and first got my license and still in high school me and 20 people all went onto the road and drove 2mph next to eachother and stopped traffic. I was immature and only 16 and so was everyone else. I don't do that anymore but I still see some kids with other friends acting stupid like I was.

I don't consider retaliating (sp) to the situation will make the situation any better. Heck sounds like our egos are getting too much of us. Going after just because you'r mad can potentially kill you. Thats nobody's loss only your own. If you think that by acting the way others are acting and to counter the road rage with a rage of your own is smart, then i'll let you be. Showing fingers because "they did it too" and cutting somebody because "they did it too" is no excuse in my book. But thats just my opinion.

Thanks IRL. I was not going to be so politically correct in my statement.
Yet yours covers the subject well. If any of these young men were my son, I think I would be in the Slap happy mode. Putting other people at risk and themselves. That is NOT maturity or Responsible driving.
I just wish someone would educate others, that Driving is a PRIVILEGE, NOT a RIGHT.

I agree with you, but not 100%. I think some of those jerks out there does things because they think they can get away with it. Sometimes, people must retaliate and show them that there are consequences to things.
Now I know that people sometimes make dumb moves on the road without realizing what they are doing. We all need to have room in our mind to give them a little slack. But for those who purposely challenges you on the road, I think they deserve some retaliation. Personally, I would follow the guy till he/she parks, then slash his tires/cv boot etc...

Inspectorlee. I was in my friends Civic about a month ago. We had 4 people in the car and out of nowhere an audi comes passing by us. He has was doing at least 70 and the Audi just flys on by us. It was a big muscular guy with his wife. My friend has a hooked up civic so he goes next to the Audi and keeps beside him wanting to race, but the guy in the Audi speeds up and goes in our lane and my friend had to swerve and he almost hit the guardrail. He was pissed so we speed up next to him and he pulls out a gun. Flashy silver gun. We all were about to pee in our pants. We all had cell phones so we call 911 and the police catch the guy. We had to go there to give a statement. But he was in handcuffs and he wasn't so tough then.

Hey another thing Inspectorlee. I wouldn't carry a gun around with you in the car while your driving. When you get pissed on the road believe me you will use it. I think a lot of people would agree when someone pisses them off on the road they get very angry and if they had a gun they would probably shot them. I doubt I would, but I've told myself I wish I had a gun so I could get that !#!!# back. A day later I forgot about it and go to myself wow I was really stupid to think that.

Pointing a gun at somebody is not the way to solve the issue. Its one thing to race someone because they PISS YOU OFF but its another issue to point your gun at somebody. Personally I hate guns. You got to know what the LIMIT of your action is. Pointing a gun at someone is just WAY OVER THE LIMIT. Unless you had to SELF DEFEND. Hope you understand......Peace~~

Okay, let me clarify myself here guys. One, I'm not a total d*ckhead who goes around flashing my gun to impress people or something. I've never instigated a road race in my life although I did participate in a few. Yes, you guys are right, I shouldn't carry my gun (it's just a little 9mm, not some huge .357 magnum) when I drive because I do get pissed off easily, but can usually calm down by just speeding up and passing the retarded driver. I just don't appreciate it when the other driver continues to piss me off. Here's an example: my girlfriend and I were driving to the local Walmart around 9 pm when this Ford F-150 truck starts to tail gate me on the road. The speed limit is like 30 mph and I was in the left lane but didn't pull over to the right lane because my left turn was coming up. I make the left, the guy does too, and I turned into the right lane. Now, he has the opportunity to move to the left and pass me up right? Instead, he hangs on my ass with his brights on. Maybe he hates imports with big exhausts or something, I don't know. But here he is following me, when he could pass me easily (no other cars present). I get mad so I punch it and am doing like 50 mph on the road now. The guy follows me, highbeaming me all the way. Why? I just don't get it. I gave him the opportunity and he just doesn't take it. I'm not trying to be tough or some wannabe gangster, I'm too old for all that ego crap. I grew up long ago. I just wanted him to leave me alone. No disrespect to any of you.

It pisses me off when some jerkoffs are tail-gating me. Whenever this happens I'll first slow down my car to like 15 ~ 25mph(even on the freeway)then speed up suddenly for the jerkoffs to catch up, and then I would just slam on the brake. I did this many many times, and every time the jerkoff just got so scared that they would stay so far behind my car.....lol
Other experiences I had were:
When there's a car that drives too slow in front of me(often below speed limit), I would attempt to pass it. And here's what pisses me off. Some jerkoffs would speed up when I try to pass them, and when I can't pass their car at the moment they would slow down again...damn...this irritates me so much that I just wanna pull these jerkoffs over, get outta my car and rip their f**king heads off!!! I'm serious, it's not about whether you are mature or not. You know there are so many jerkoffs out there on the streets that would do stupid s**t like these on purpose! And you know once you are out on the road and experience the same s**t you'll get pissed off too, it's just the matter how you express your anger. For those who have bad temper, might incorporate their anger into action, like myself. In my opinion, a lil' chasing, flashing and honking are ok, just don't go over it and end up getting yourself or others injured or maybe killed. But with a bad temper I would suggest not to carry weapons of any kind...not even a screw-driver(actually,even a pencil can be a deadly weapon when the person posseses it goes berserk...lol), because you will most likely use it when your rage gets on. I, for one, will pop those jerkoffs if I carry a gun...which is why I don't even own one...eheheh
I've also experienced jerkoffs that like to drive with their hi-beams on(especially truck drivers), or when they think I drive too slow(I always maintain at the designated speed limit). My response to this is, I would go behind them and then turn on all 4 of my custom HID(High Intensity Discharge)lamps, and plus two 130Watts super bright halogen foglights. These are as bright as those work lights you see at the construction sites. And guess what these jerkoffs would do? they would punch the gas and try to get as far away from me as possible...ahahahahahahah~~~
Anyhow, it's still the best if you can control your temper, than going berserk on the road. So, safety #1, people.
peace out~

After i saw that guy in the turbine again, hehehe, i pulled up next to him and honked, gave him a wasssssupppp?????!!! and sped off, i was going pretty fast on a two lane on-ramp, there was merging traffic on the right so i went on my left lane and a white f-150 jumps the right lane and cuts directly in front of me i swerved to the right and honked and at this point that two lane road is a four lane highway so i jumped to the left lane and sped off with the white truck no where in sight. I pull over to the right lane cuz my exit is coming when all of a sudden the white truck cuts in front of me and comes to a COMPLETE STOP in the middle of the highway. I try to go around him and he jumps in front of me again. At this point i want to go out and kick his *** , but like i said im a cool headed guy, and people are getting pissed at him now, so i see him in his rearview looking back, and i show him the 'what the fukk' jesture , reverse a little pull next to him and tell him what he did earlier and what i thought of him and sped off.
Needless to say, he looked like an affluent, middle aged white man, and it goes to show you..jerks come in all shapes and sizes, wether its a turbine laden Sikh or a slick white guy.

Ahhh roadrage...I have a problem...I love to p*** off A******s....I have found what really drives A*****s nuts is not the finger but a smile and wave....bear with me...take any of the situations listed above, dealing with roadrage d***s and instead of flipping the bird as you speed away...give them a friendly smile and big wave...trust me it p's them off so bad they will damn near drive off the road. They expect you to be angry and respond with the finger, they want you to be as angry as they are. If you're happy and you show it, they go out of their minds images/icons/grin.gif
Or this instead of braking to piss off a tailgaiter and putting your ride at risk (I'd hate to see any nissans wrecked this way) just slow down and doo the limit....I had a guy in a Blaser on my A** one day. I was doing 100 in an 80 zone (kph not mph..its like 50 in a 60 mph) I had cruise on and was just heading home from work. I wasn't dogging it but not blasting along either (Its a country road where farmer pull out without looking all the time...many deaths on that strip) and this d***head is on my butt. And I can see he is angry that he can't get past (windy, hilly road with lots of oncoming traffic) Ok so he can't get by, so chill and wait for a chance right...nope he gets closer and closer. So I hit my coast button..drop it to 90kph...now hes getting a might bit P****d, but he doesn't back off....so I coast down to the speed limit...now he is litterally bouncing up and down in his seat, hes flipping out...me I'm just humming along to the tunes on the radio and watching this weenie lose it images/icons/grin.gif ...finally he gets a gap and blasts past me (I was driving my '90 mustang 2.3l so I didn't have the hp to race him) and he flips me off....so I smile and wave images/icons/cool.gif He almost climbed out the window of his truck at speed he was so mad about that!
As I said, I love to P*** people off and I find new and better ways to do it all the time images/icons/grin.gif

I want to add some other jack *** drivers to you guys impressive list. Those big tank-sized jacked up trucks and those F350 duellys and Z71's. Without fail, nearly everytime I am driving these big idiots try to race me and hog up all of the lanes in front of me. One time this F350 gets in front of me in semi-crowded traffic and puts his hazards on- mimicing the tactics of civics- and he starts swangin and bangin on me. I was with my bro and sis-in-law and we start laughing so much. Anyway, he starts to annoy me and almost makes me hit him in the rear. So I finally find an opening big enough and get next to him. I start revving on his A$$ and swangin right back at his passenger side door, his wife seems pretty scared, but she was probably laughing along with her redneck hubby previously. Well this big monster is suprised that my little pocket rocket is even messing with him and stops acting stupid because it was hard for him to see me, I was like an annoying fly making him swerve like a little punk- peace

Things like this, and the way people act on the road anymore... is the reason why I never want to live anywhere more crowded than a sparse suburban area. I think hermetic living is underrated.I think city living is overrated, not to mention ridiculous.

I saw an accident that was primarily because of road rage. When I used to be a field service engineer in the CBD of sydney (I live in penrith) I used to have to drive for 2 hrs in the morning along parramatta road, which is really packed. We all race each other a fair bit, and it's fairly competitive but not too angry, you know. Anyway, this Italian chick in her Suzuki Swift or Charade or rice car of some sort, with outragous body kit, sik stereo, etc, was driving like a bit of a nut, but nothing too out of the ordinary. There was this truck that was a big 18 wheeler trying to travel down this road, and if anyone knows parramatta road in peak hour it's really busy. the lanes aren't too wide, and it's difficult for a truck to navigate. I happened to notice that the dude driving it wasn't looking too god, he was coughing and spluttering and looked like crap. The poor guy obviously worked for one of our rapist transport companies that expect you to deliver the load without sleeping or resting etc. You know the ones.
Anyway, she was making all kinds of arm signals and these really angry facials at the truck, and was trying to get past it for a while. Anyway, she finally managed to get past it by cuting right in front of me (almost took off my front bumper) and then hustling for about ten minutes to try and get in front of it. We get to a stretch where the traffic is moving reasonably quickly, and some lights are coming up. She does this crazy maneouver and pulls in front of this truck, and slams her brakes on to stop for the light. Being a rather large truck, and the truck driver already being hard on the brakes to pull up in time, he simply had no more traction left. So I watched as his tyres locked and unlocked, as he desperately tried to stop from hitting this idiot chick in front. I would estimate that the truck was carrying about 40 tons, as when it hit her car it pushed her car 3/4 into the oncoming traffic. It got collected by an old ford of some description, and got really FUBAR. The little rice car got smashed sideways into the car in front of me, the bonnet was torn off; the chick was crushed between the old ford and the car in front, a new toyota of some sort, all because she wanted to have her 'revenge' on what was most likely a honest mistake by a tired and sick, struggling truck driver.
The girl managed to get out of the car after the truck driver, myself, the ford driver, and a few onlookers pulled the door off. She was lucky, she got out of the car with a huge bruise on her head from where she had hit it, but apart from that she was fine.
But seriously, I've never reacted to extremes from road rage for that very reason. What was her 'revenge' was a thoughtless act that could have gotten her killed. The guy in the truck who did whatever he did to her, I can probably say, did not intend to. Most ****head moves that have been done to me on the road have been unintentional or because the person was thoughtless. I've had very few deliberate acts of road rage against me. So please, be careful, and think - if you have passengers in the car, take care for their lives. I have done a lot of dumbass stunts in my cars and it's only now that I realise with a sinking feeling in my gut how many times I could have killed my passengers. *Killed My Passengers* images/icons/frown.gif
Cheers,
Joe.

Be careful here in GA. When it comes to roadrage if you get out of your car and approach a vehicle in a threatening manner you CAN LEGALLY be shot and killed. They came out with this law after alot of car jackings and other road rage incidents. So whatever you do, stay in your car!
If I ever have a problem with a driver I just would head straight for the closest police station.
One solution I thought of is to go to some kind of antique store or something of that nature and buy an old police badge! Nothing like making the person **** their pants when they see a badge flashed at them.

I believe we have every right to speed and other people have the exact same right to drive slow. The problem comes when people don't respect the rights of others. If you want to drive slow thats fine and dandy but do it in the RIGHT lane. Don't cruise in the far left lane doing the speed limit or less thats called the PASSING lane. And those of us that like to drive fast, pass in the LEFT lane then fall back to the right lane for cruising. Don't get upset because someone is doing the speed limit in the right lane which is where they should be.

i hate these soccer moms with there oversized SUV...they drive 15 below the speed limit they friggin smash their doors against my car when they park next to me...they dont realize how big their car is so they drive in 2 lanes...the cars have the worst blind spots in the world...SUVs are the biggest hazard in the world...and i dont mean something middle sized like an explorer or a pathfinder...i mean the escalade, excursion, navigator, expedition things...what ever happened to minivans...and the best part is my mom drives a navigator and she drives just like i mentioned lol....

LOL, some of these stories are hilarious. Anyways, one time some old 70's pick-up cut me off and I decided payback was coming three fold! I got in front of him and didnt let him go around, and I drove reallllllll slow. Then I look in my rearview and it's some crazy old redneck hunter type. He reaches for the glove, grabs a 7 or 8 inch Boowie knife and holds it next to his throat and jestured like he was going to slice my throat. Make a long story short next light I made a quick turn off that road. Crazy people in Miami.

It's just a human tendency to subconsciously match the speed of a car next to you. All those people who are moving along just fine in the left lane but always slow down as they're passing ain't doing it on purpose. Yes it's annoying, but we all do things unintentionally that will piss off other people. Just chill and let it go.
Like getting behind a slow old driver. It's as annoying as hell, but they have just as much of a right to be on the road as you, and someday you're going to be that slow old driver. Slow because your reaction time won't be what it used to.
