S14 vs. 1990 Prelude

This was on a friday night. I was trying to look for a bunch of racers who might start a race. I finally found a group after an hour and decided followed them...

Well, to make a long story short, I ended up racing a 1990 Prelude. (I was just planning to watch, but the guy wanted to race me, and I didn't want to be a jerk and turn him down) The guy said he has intake and exhaust. My S14 has intake and exhaust.

We raced twice, and both times I had a poor launch. But once it gets going, my car would start to slowly gain on the prelude. Unfortunatly, it wasn't enough to cover my embarrasing(sp?) launch and lost both times by about a half car length.

Yeah yeah, 240's about having a good launch. I'm a bad driver. There, I said it. (at least in drag racing anyway...)

i raced a 3rd gen lude about three weeks ago too. umm i guess if you call it racing.... we were both at a stop light and i remeber zooming by him on the hwy because i used to own one too so i took a quick look and i was gone. i didn't even notice this fool was next to me at the red light since i was changing cds. so when the light turned green i go and i'm at 45mph, i just shifted in to 3rd gear... i hear a screeeech like some one just power shifted. i look over we make eye contact and he has a look of war on his face. so i said to myself "this lude is trying to race me? ok you wanna run?" little did he know i have a sr20det so i kept in 3rd to give him a chance to catch while my turbo spooled... now going about 75mph and 6-7 cars ahead so i shifted into fourth gear and came to a stop light. i look over and he didn't even have the balls to look over..... oh well i would have given him props fo trying.
