This should just simply be our 03 U.S. Accord instead of that frumpy, saggy assed sedan we got instead... This actually looks great.

wtf? I agree! That should be the American Accord!! THe interior is EXACTLY the same as the US Accord coming later this month! Why, Honda, why?!
Actually if u look at the middle picture closely, there seems to be the "accord" nameplate on the upper right (long and thin text). TSX? doesnt look like it. THis must be the Euro Accord

you guys are clueless. the TSX is just a euro accord brought over as an Acura. the TSX will be smaller than the US accord in just about every way (as is the euro accord). as for the interior , I hope honda changes it or they will be getting into some trouble (notice the car is left hand drive in the pictures)...............HEY! FANATIC WHERE DID YOU GET THE ENGINE SPECS??? (I'm not yelling ....just trying to get your attention http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/wink.gif )

Yeah, maybe so....but I'm going to jump on the "What the hell?/How come this isn't the American Honda styling?" train here, too...
I know it's a Honda, and its reputation is infalliable (I'm a believer) but how ugly can they make a car before people will stop buying it?
An Acura? Will this be a new RL or TL or something?

.LOL.... http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif .....I agree , hondas styling has been very questionable lately. even this euro accord has problems......for one the back is very squared off (basically flat...you can't see it in these pics though), the back is too high and the side looks very bland. it's a very nice car though especially when you compare it to what honda has been designing lately.
and by the way this car is known a the Accord in europe, but it will be called the Acura TSX in north america.....not RL, or TL....it's G35 competition http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/smirk.gif

engines specs were on vtec.net, i hope it doesn't come here like that. i can understand its the accord in europe so it has the accord interior, but for here it doens't have 'that' acura interior, the seats look plasticky. dunno, i was expecting more. also the accord coupe would be a better deal/faster unless this thing weighs 2700lbs with the 4cyl.
What's wrong with the new Accord's interior? I like it very much. It has a very upscale look to it. IMO, it doesn't look plasticy at all. I think the Accord/TSX's interior looks better than the G35. This isn't saying the G35 has a bad interior, but sitting in it, the metallic looking center console felt as very plasticy like what's in the Celica's. I also question why the power windows switches are set so low on the doors on the G35. http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/confused.gif I don't think this entry level TSX is competing with the G35 anywyas, but rather models like the A4 1.8t, Saab 9-3, and Jaguar X-Type, which all have similar power.

this is a EURO ACCORD...actually, there was an old post in the CAR LOUNGE that said "EURO ACCORD" with these pics, and it is definately not coming to the US as a HONDA, maybe as an acura, but how sure are we of this? Is this actually coming? evidence? proof? where is it? http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif I agree that the front is nice, but the back is just as bad (well maybe not just as bad) as the US accords rear. There maybe a chance this car, though, comes to the US as an acura. For one, look at the styling, totally acura (at least in the rear)it has the "RSX-ish" lights, but i am not too sure it is even coming to the US. And as a G35 competitor? If this thing is smaller than a US ACCORD...HOnda-GOOD LUCK! Anyone know engine specs? this thing should be just as small as the LEX IS, but the styling looks too "american car" to me...look at the front lights. Although they are nice...nothig to be braggin about in the class it wants to enter in (BMW 3, INFINITI G, LEX IS...etc). And another thing, i have reason to believe that the interior pic posted isnt the inside of that car, and that it is just the US ACCORD COUPE (which comes with the 3-spoke) steering wheel, but i may be wrong...not sure, but it is possibly true that the interior pic is just a normal accord coupe. I am not sure, but in the pics ii saw in the "EURO ACCORD" forum, i am not too positive, but i do remember something about a right hand drive...may be wrong again, but pretty sure that pic in this post is just a normal 03 ACCORD COUPE...sorry to burst ur bubbles.....am i wrong? anyone care to respond? http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/tongue.gif

Honda has already said it's mimicing VW Passat for its new Accord. With that, the A4 is a smaller than the Passat. The A4s has very similar powerplants to that of the speculated TSX. The A4 and Passat also shared very similar interior layouts. And we know the A4 and Passat are sucessful models. http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/wink.gif Although the Passat and A4 does have the AWD option to its advantage, we have to wait next year to see what Honda is doing for the TL.

Makes me wonder why Honda can get 180/220 out of the 2.4L and Nissan can't get 180+ from the 2.5L in the Spec V or the Altima.
It really bugs me when I see stuff like that happen. http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/mad.gif

Clueless? I don't think so...Euro Accords have always been better looking than our boring (in comparison) offerings, that was my point!

wow, i think that car was a EURO ACCORD for a reason, it has about the same appeal as a US ACCORD would...doesnt look ACURA worthy, except for the obvious ACURA worthy tailamps, but that thing, i would have to say, is definately not ugly, but i dont think the design is nice enough for the segment it is trying to compete against....anyone have any idea on pricing? i know its really really early! And HONDA copying NISSAN....ding ding ding! maybe it is just my egotistical NISSAN loving-ness but Honda seems to be copying NISSAN with its high HP, performance edge. Even people at www.honda-acura.net (http://www.honda-acura.net)
( i think thats the website) but neways, even pple there are saying that NISSAN has always been ahead in performance and that the ALTY would have been phenomonal if it had HONDA worth interior. But whose to say the ALTY wasnt already phenomonal.....hehe http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif

That's much better looking than the US Accord. It'd be nice if they brought something like that over, just in a bigger size. The pictures make it look pretty small.

The Euro Accord has always been better than the U.S. version. However I'm not liking the style of the new Accord, both Euro and U.S.

i guess all the tsx will be is an accord alternative, not really a bmw alternative http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/frown.gif
Maybe more like a BMW alternative in Europe where they have lower hp 4 cylinder 3 series (i.e..318) and desiels. The 2.0L Euro-Accord will probably won't make it as the TSX. 2.4L 187hp sounds more like what the TSX will be as a base engine.

Judging by how well the 1.6/1.7 El has done in canada, i dont think this thing will have any problem selling. People pay for the acura brand, because the El is nothing more than a fancy civic. Its the price that i like...........Low $30,000's in canada.

That's a pretty good looking car, actually. It does seem a bit like a slab on the sides, fairly angular throughout. Much better than that creampuff the U.S. market is getting. Nice speedometer too...
