I bought my car from nissan dealership 5 months ago as a preorder. Still do not have the car. When i asked if I was going to get my car soon, they told me Novemberish. I then find out that they are sellin every Z that comes in to people who are willing to pay $10,000 over sticker. Is this Fair business pratice?? Does anyone share the same bad dealer experiences.

I would suggest that you just take your money back, and book with another dealer. The preorder program was I think managed and sponsored by Nissan, so you might have some recourse there.
I just ordered my Z this week with $500 refundable deposit. The dealer says the car will arrive in December or January. But I ordered a Le Mans Sunset, and 80% of people in Jacksonville are going for silver. I'm hoping that nissan will have a Sunset laying around somewhere they can give me.

If you have a pre-order in with a deposit than the car is yours. My dealership only recieved the first of its pre-ordered Z's on Tuesday and we may not see the next one until October. The buyer on that car opted out of his pre-order (it was our ex-GM's car) and we sold it to someone else for MSRP on Wednesday night.

Any dealer that can get $10,000 over MSRP for the car should be worshipped as it is an obvious sign of the second coming. I just can't see anybody paying that. I wonder if perhaps there is a little exaggeration going on here?

our dealer wants a 10,000 deposit (refundable) for pre ordering a Z, but is still selling at MSRP

My dealer, Jackie Cooper Imports in Tulsa, OK has a Lemans Sunset Touring 6M w/ Orange Leather - saw it yesterday - it's beautiful. They had a guy back out and now it's for sale at MSRP. You might want to give them a call if this is what you ordered - 918.249.9393

Several of the dealerships in my area have Z's in stock, but the prices are outrageous. I called one dealer a few days ago to ask about a Touring model and it had just sold - for $42,000. Nissan's website has a "locate dealer" link that will show dealer inventory - not preordered cars, but actual Z's for sale. They're out there, you just have to be willing to pay a premium price for a car.

My dealer in Maryland (DC) is selling at the preorder price, however in Temple Hills I saw a dealer markup on the performance model of $6,995.00 WOW!

You should definately call Nissan if you have some bad experience with your dealer. I did. My dealer was jerking me around about the location and time of delivery whenever I would ask. I never could get a straight answer. So I emailed Nissan, USA. The car was there the next day.

And for those interested, I got my 350Z for MSRP here in Minnesota.
