I never expected the production version to look that good.

FX45 is not based on Quest Minivan as they put it. Its based on G35 FM platforms.

Not sure if everyone has seen these yet. The rumors said the production model is going to look just about the same, and it's close. I like it!

I love those pics, now if we just had a realistic shot of the interior.
The concept car interior (White with the clock on the top of the dash) looks better to me than the brick color interior making the rounds now.

I know they are not going to try to actually use that glass/plastic frame around the shifter.

Anyone see any interior shots that don't look like these?

Yeah I like the white one better. It looks more production ready.

It looks like they tweeked the headlights and grill. Is it me or have they downsized the size of the wheels from the concept?
If I had the money, I'd buy it. But then again, I want a G35C. I likes!!! http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif

To say those wheels are smaller than the concepts is an understatement. The ones shown on the test mule look to be either 17's or 18's at the largest. I hope they don't go this route with the production model.
Although I know the 21's on the concept wouldn't make it to production, they could easily make 19's standard, and 20's part of a sport package. Heck, even Dodge has 20's available on the Ram 1500 pickup. BMW has 19's available on the X5 4.4i, and 20's standard on the X5 4.6is.
I make a big deal out the wheel size on this car not because I like bling-bling, but for 2 reasons:
1) Infiniti has said they designed this vehicle with performance in mind, they even said they are not targeting other SUV's, rather large luxury sport sedans like the GS430, 7-series, and even Infiniti's own Q45 (Infiniti's words, not mine). If they truly want to make this thing "perform", it's not going to happen with a set of 17's sitting on a set of 70-series rubber.
2) Aesthetically, this car was menacing in concept form. Why? 21's wrapped in 285/50/R21 tires sitting in large, flared fender wells. If they take that away, it loses it's cojones (for you spanish speaking folk). They can put 20's in 275/50/R20 tires and still pull of the sporty menacing look.
According to the latest MotorTrend, they claim that the FX45 will come with a 20" wheel/tire package. I sure hope they are right.

I showed these pics to several people. Some really liked the look, others couldn't stand it. The car will inspire strong reactions. Personally, I think it looks really cool, like a retro muscle hybrid car, but futuristic at the same time. By year 2 I might just be interested in it.

Well, I can't blame them if they hated the pics. The car is supposed to look disgused, thus ugly.
I doubt we'll ever see one on the lot with those pin stripes!
Still waiting to see a shot of the interior, will it be Q45 or G35? Only time will tell, and I'm praying it's Q45 like.

I'm praying it has it's own unique interior......something radical, luxurious, beautiful, and like no other.

I think it will come with it's own unique interior. That has always been the indication. Nothing has ever been said about it sharing interiors, but you never know. Magazines are still claiming it will come with a 9.5" LCD screen like in the concept. If this is true, there's no way it can share interiors with any of the other Infinitis. It shouldn't too much longer now. I've heard as early as January, and March/April at the latest.

Another set of recent pics also had the smaller wheels. Any thoughts on whether this could be the FX35 and that the FX45 will have the more aggressive look?

Are those LED signal lights on the side mirrors, or is that just a trick INFINITI is playing on us? I cannot really tell if they are there in the "spy" pics but if they are really going to be there, that would be awesome. However, i still think that INFINITI should put the JAPANESE version of the G35 side mirrors on all the cars. Although it plays no purpose, it looks really awesome. INFINITI should include that type on all their cars. It is original too, what they're doing with the current Q's side markers (on the side mirrors) are a bit too much benz for me....IMO http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif
Anyways, those spy pics of the FX45 are absolutely amazing. I love it sooo much. I think that INFINITI would include 20"'s at the least, as a sports package? The car is sooooo nice. Anyways, there is also going to be a FX35 too? right? This will be the first time INFINITI will offer two engine types in any of their cars. Anyone know nething about pricing yet? on either FX45, or 35? I want a 35 as soon as it comes out! When are they coming out? hehe http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif
The rear overhang looks longer. http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/tongue.gif
I read Nissan will be using 20inch rims for production instead of the 21's on the concept. Lets pray, any smaller than 19's and it'll look ****. Infiniti has to make sure the car is still cutting edge, attractive and not watered down and compromised.
