When I saw the first drawings of the car, I was not impressed. However, the new look is growing on me. I am digging the 20" tires. The spy shots look great. My QX4 might have to be retired early.

So are they going to keep the "special" mercury paint????

Hard to see any exterior differences between the last concept and the production mule.

The 'spy shot' pic doesn't appear to have 20" wheels like the one above it.

I never thought those huge wheels would make it to production. I can't tell what size those are on the test mule. Look like 18 inchers.

The tail light seems to bulge out on the mule and the side mirrors are bigger than the show car's. But the general design is intact.

It says on the ifninti website that the fx45 production version will have 20 inch wheels. I think thta is a spy shot of the fx35. That, or they just put smaller wheels on one of the base model fx45's.

The only difference i see between the production FX and the Concept are the roof racks, which do a world of difference IMO. They make the car look complete. For some reason, the car also looks taller and not as long, but may just be the roof racks, now only if the roof racks didnt look like plastic, and were silver-that would be awesome. Another thing, even though i like the production model side-mirrors, doesnt it seem as though the concept had LED side markers on the mirrors? or is that just a piece of chrome? I dunno how many times i should emphasize this, but INFINITI should really pick of up rear LED lights on all of their models (LED LIGHTS ARE OPTIONS ON M. BENZ-what a joke) and another thing they must pick up are the side markers on the side mirrors-not like Benz style though, i like the style on the Japanese Skyling, that run vertically-even though they serve no purpose! http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif

This spy pic seems like it's the FX35 with smaller wheel flares front and back. Can't really tell but definitely seem smaller flares than the FX45 pre-production. But is sure looking good, either way.

is it just me or does this car look a lot like the bmw x5, i mean it still has its own unique design... but overall the new spy pic looks a lot like the bimmer.

which is not necessarily a bad thing.. i haven't met anyone that doesn't like the X5. With a cheaper price and hopefully equivalent performance and handling Infiniti should able to reap gigantic profits out of this car. Maybe even more successful than the G35 itself due to the craze of SUV's in the US. Remember the Rx300 was the lexus that got them 2 the largest volume luxury brand in the US.

And the Exterior on the FX45 AND FX35 is gonna be the exact same except for tire sizes and the interior on the FX45 might have more options.
