From BB:
http://busybeetoys.com/SCOOP/15-Cima.jpg
Engines choices: 4.1-litre V8 VH41DE and 4.5-litre V8 VH45DE both direct injection
CVT transmission claimed to improve fuel consumption by 20-25%
Length: 5,000 mm
Width: 1,850 mm
Height: 1,450 mm
Estimated release date: October 2000 (This month details will be released)
My comments: Some reports say the upcoming Q45 will look a little different than the Cima.....maybe it's due to those weird headlamps?
http://busybeetoys.com/SCOOP/15-R35GTR.jpg
Engine: 3.5-litre V8 VQ30DETT from the defunct R390 GT1 Road car

Estimated release date: 2002?

My comments: Oooooohhhhh..... Nissan finally gets the Skyline GT-R looks right! This can rival the Z-car for the enthusiast's money! Wow!

5-door configuration

2-litre 150-ps direct-injection inline-4-cylinder engine

Estimated release date: November 2000

My comment: Nissan finally wises up to notice the CR-V and RAV4's runaway success and produces this new mini sport-ute. The XTerra is too macho for Japanese tastes, and so Nissan had to come up with something softer for conservative Japanese consumers. Just witness the last-generations of the Infiniti J30 and Nissan Altima - success in USA, failure in Japan

Not to be negative, but I've usually found it hard to believe busybee's images. Nice to drool over, but harder to believe.

I've seen the front of the 2002 Q45/Cima and it looks different. They said that the Cima could be a little different than the Q45, but not that different.

As I stated in the Skyline forum, the side of the car looks a lot like a Celica, IMO.

And about the CR-V killer: It has a lot of a Mitsubishi look to it. Esp. how the turn signals are smaller than the headlights. I would expect something more along the lines of the Terrano/Pathfinder.

One thing I have to say here is that Busybeetoys did not do any of those pictures. Those pictures are taken out of a Japanese car magazine (I forgot the name). I've seen this perticualar magazine before. It had some of the best damn spy pics of the S15 Silvia Varietta before the Varietta was even annouced to the public. It also have some doctored pics that were pretty damn close. So, just have to look at those pics as artist conception of what might make to production.

What about the Nissan president? It looks like a first generation Q45 http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum//images/icons/grin.gif

Japan's President is indeed essentially the first generation Q45. The grill that Q45 adopted actually drew its inspiration from the more formal (at the time) Japanese-market
President. If my recollection is correct, though, the President from the early 90's was actually a longer-wheelbased version that was actually considered for North American export at some point as a supplement to the standard Q. I'm not sure that the President sold in Japan today is the longer-wheelbased version or not, though.

The President is still on sale. They have both version available. Yes the regular President is indeed longer as evident by the rear doors.
