I read in AutoExpress magazine that someone....not sure if it's Nissan or not...holds some sort of competition for ideas related to cars. A Nissan employee came up with a simple, but effective anti theft concept. The idea is to lock the seat back up against the steering wheel to deter and prevent theft. Nissan rejected the idea....

it is and does seam bright.
is it electronic ? if so what if it fails and locks up while driving.
if its like the club, then .. thats also odd to go into your back seat to lock up or unlock the seat.

i've seen people do that on some cars, i'm not sure if they were just getting something out of the back seat or it was theft prevention. i didn't think much of it other than it was a good idea, maybe i should have looked into it and got a patent http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif

I assumed based on what I read, that you release a lever that allows the seat back to come forward and then it would be locked. I think it would lock and unlock from the open door, not from the back seat....and there would be no chance of the seat back moving while it was being driven.
