I saw someone say in another thread that there is 2500 Coupes, and 2500 Convertables, is that made total, or in America? Also is there anything else interesting about this car that I may not know, or any place online I can learn more about it? I've had a 90' Coupe for a few years now, and I have the sudden desire to know more about it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

M30 is incredibly rare. Never seen one in Michigan. Based on home-market Nissan sedan, I read someplace.

Nissans outside of the Sentra/Altima/Maxima are uncommon here although older Zs can be found. Infiniti? hahaha outside of G20 and I30, yeah right. The M45s are piling up on dealer lots, and Q45 is rare. I see J30s occassionally, but never M30s.
Haven't been to California since 1988, if you can believe that. Been overseas three times since then, but I have a very old image of California. Maybe it's better, because I hear it just keeps getting more crowded and pricey out there.
Hard to tell which cars will become rare later down the road sometimes, isn't it?
Anyway, Nissan-Infiniti doesn't have much of a "brand image" in Michigan. Totally eclipsed by Toyota-Lexus and Honda-Acura. Gotta go out west or east some summer just to see what people drive outside of the Great Lakes region, I think. http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif
But I think that seeing a M30 or J30 will still be a rare event in California relatively speaking, am I right? http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/confused.gif

Thanks for responding.
I seem to remember my dealer saying there was 25 here (Ohio) The town over, there is a white 92' convertable..I think that's the one people see the most. Other than that one..I saw a champagne colored one at a dealership a few years ago, a black coupe on the road a few years ago, and a silver coupe in South Carolina...a few years ago.
I wouldn't be suprised if the bulk of them are in California.

I had a M30 coupe for a few years- nice car. It is largely a blend of several different nissan models- but mainly the Z31 300zx (85-89). The engine/trans/rear subframe are identical to the non-turbo Z31. And yes- 2500 of coupe and convertible were shipped here and eventually sold. They are great cars- Infiniti just had a horrible brand launch ad campaign- they are just now recovering from the horrible marketing experiment conducted early on in infiniti's life. Do you have any specific questions about M30?

It moves pretty good. 170 HP I believe. With some up-grades it would be pretty swift.

do a search for Nissan Leopard (F31 is the chassis code).
the Infiniti M30 was based on that car.

I clocked my M30 0-60 in mid-7 seconds. I think It was slow because the transmission is a "soft-n-slow shifter." The horsepower and tourque ratings were on a metal plate under the hood, I believe it had 171 HP and 180 lb-ft. To me, the best part about the M30 was the sonar suspension system(optional-mine had it). It actually had a little box up front under the car that "read" the road surface, steering angle, speed, and braking and adjusted the shocks accordingly. You could select comfort or sport via a switch on the center counsel, and let me tell you, it was very noticable. It handled pretty well in sport mode for a 4000 lb. car!! Or it would float around like a MB in comfort mode.
As you can probably tell, I really liked the car. I should not have sold it... http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/frown.gif

Thanks for the link hypercarrots...
Sunny..mine has that option to. My only complaint with the car is the leg room, under the wheel. Other than that, there isn't anything not to like about it.

Wow, that one looks alot like mine, only it's a convertable. The rims on mine aren't chrome, no spoiler and the engine says Nissan V6 as oposed to the Infiniti symbol. Same color. I think the convertable makes the car look taller, which I don't really care for. The more I look at it, it looks like some styling changes were made from 90' to 92'. That car looks longer than mine.
The dash and steering wheel area of my car is the same, no woodgrain though. Mine has tan leather, the doors arent all grey, just where the lock and power window buttons are...the bottom is tan carpet, and the middle of the door, where that guy has the woodgrain is tan leather..plus I have and wrapped steering wheel cover, and some seat covers until I get the leather back to it's former grace.
Never seen a red convertable before.
I'd love to know where to get those rims.
