Towing Capacity

From two dealers I've heard two different answers in regard to the Murano's towing capacity. From one it's 3500 lbs and most recently today, Sunday the 8th of Dec. it's 5000 pounds. Can anyone here verify the correct number? http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/confused.gif

Catalog says 3500 lbs. The owner's manual states max trailer wt of 3500 lbs; gross combined wt rating of 8100 lbs.
