They have promissed profitability by next year, so it's logical that they try to do as many writeoffs as possible this year. I can bet that a significant portion of this loss comes from the upcoming headcount cut of 21,000 people.

I have a lot of confidence that Carlos Goshn and company will be able to turn the company. Nissan in the past year has sunk to it's lowest and there's no way but up.
