Hey all, I just bought a brand new 2003 QX4, brilliant silver with graphite interior. I love this car - I used to have a 200 QX4 and the 240 hp engine makes a huge difference. The interior is a lot nicer too, and xenons look sweet at night. Sticker was 38,755, invoice was 35,156, and I ended up paying 32,700. This is 2456 under invoice and 6055 under sticker. I also qualified for the 0.9% APR, which is what really got me to buy the car. Do you guys think I got a good deal? Thanks.

Did you check out what grubbs is doing right now on the QX4's. They list a price of $29,999. (check out danny's post)

Yea, I did notice that, but I am located in upstate NY. Grubbs is in Dallas. We get pounded with snow in the Northeast (especially this winter), SUV's sell extremely well, and thus the prices are higher. I checked Infiniti of Latham (Albany), Infiniti of Syracuse, and Dorschel Infiniti (Rochester). I contemplated purchasing from Texas or California and having it shipped, but I just did not want the hassle or risk that the vehicle is not as promised. Boston, MA is also a large market and is famous for low prices, and the best they could do was $6300 off sticker.

On the other hand, cars like the G35 are not selling well here and dealer lots are literally full of both sedans and coupes - I noticed they were giving significant discounts on these when everyone else on the forums was paying sticker or above. I guess it's regional, but I am just hoping I did not get ripped off.

Just to further comment on Grubbs Infiniti, I checked their website and the $29,999 corresponds to a QX4 that has an MSRP of $36,455, which means it is really $6,456 off sticker. Still a better deal than I got, but I really need that truck for the next snowstorm!

I'll get some pictures up in the near future. I want to see if my old brush guards from my 2000 QX4 will fit on this one.

Just wondering, why not the FX35?

I considered the FX, but this car is actually for my parents. I am 25 years old and would love the FX, but my parents are in their 50's and more conservative. They weren't big fans of the FX's styling - said it was too modern for them. Also, they don't need something that fast. I used to have a 2000 QX4 and loved it in the snow, and that is my parents' primary concern. Also, the incentives and financing specials really sealed the deal, but my parents said that even if the QX4 and FX35 were priced the same, they would prefer the QX4.

i noticed that too on grubbs website. But i checked out their inventory and all they had were the ones with the cold weather package and the sunroof whih takes the MSRP to 38755. I am planning to get a QX4 myself. The price you've paid seems to be reasonable on the east coast. I haven't spoken to any dealership yet, but I see them advertising the QX4's for $5000 off MSRP. Enjoy your ride and post pictures when you find time.
btw, did you check out the diamond graphite color. How does it look on the QX4. I havent seen one personally and the local dealer does not have one in stock.

I looked at the Diamond Graphite in person, and personally, I thought the color was kind of dull. Same goes for the Midnight Blue - those colors just didn't do anything for me, they looked bland. The silver is more radiant and stands out better in my opinion. I used to have a white/sage two tone which was my second favorite, but I like the graphite interior better than the beige interior. Keep in mind I saw all these colors when it was cloudy (since that's the way it is here all the time), so they may look different in the sun or at night.

Rochester was actually offering $6,250 off sticker, but I chose Albany for $6,055 off since that is where the car will be serviced. You should definitely get the QX4 now; I think it's a great car at a great price and if you don't act soon, there may be less colors to choose from. Let me know what happens.

what sales person did you work with. I'm interested and in the area and looking for a similar deal.

I got it at Lia Infiniti of Latham. His first name is Tony, I don't know the last name. Very nice guy, definitely go through him. I do know his extension is #213, so you can make sure you have the right guy.
