"A rare 1993 Ferrari F-40 fetched $409,000 at a federal auction in Orlando, Florida, in mid-February, selling to a buyer representing an unidentified group of investors.

The car, the last of 19 special Le Mans-edition racecars built with a 760-horsepower engine, was appraised at $650,000.
The Internal Revenue Service seized the car from a Florida businessman who owes $917,000 in back taxes."

Description of Property: 1993 Ferrari F40 LM #97904 – last of only 19 built, 2855CC, 8 cylinders, Horsepower – 760 @ 7,800 RPM, 80MM bore, 71MM stroke, compression ratio 8.0:1, 2 turbo chargers with 2 heat exchangers and 37 PSI boost, Torque – 500 LB FT @ 5,400 RPM, tubular alloy steel chassis, Gears – 5 forward 1 reverse, 230 MPH top speed, 0-60 MPH in 3.4 seconds, adjustable rear wing, on board air jacks and fire system, quick-fill fuel filler, O.Z. racing single-piece wheels, LCD computer display monitors 22 different functions. Vehicle is not street legal.

If that was my car, the headline would have read:

"Florida business man shot dead by federal marshalls for resisting the reposition of his limited edition Ferrari F40. Sources indicated the man was shot 40 times and died after crawing into the vehicle and locking the doors."

Car w/760HP..man close to double what it has stock (477) and I am sure it's been lighten from it's svelte 2400 lbs curb weight...I couldnt imagine having this and LOSING
