Other than the last picture, I do not like the direction Lamborghini is taking with these new design.

I likes. Still has that Lambo grab your attention type appeal but not with the tack on tackiness of some of the Countach's.

Yup the baby brother to the Murcielago. I hope the Gallardo is offered in different colours than then Murcielago because many people will get confused because they do look very similar.

I like the Gallardo style...the back end might need some work but eh...it's not horrible. It uses a V8? If so how much HP?

V-10 500hp, AWD, 6spd manual or semi-auto.... low 4s to high 3s for zero to sixty..... 300 km/h+ top speed.
About $160,000us price hasn't been confirmed yet though.

With those numbers (performance-wise) this is hardly a baby Murcielago, but rather the retarded cousin on your mom's side who no one talks about but is still strikingly part of your family. (And by retarded I mean-"they can do anything".) That cars rocks... it looks like it will kick some serious arse, but i think it is a little to cheap (price wise) for me to consider purchasing it...

oh, and 240xtrm-- you need to go take an eye exam if you find striking similarities (beyond a basic hue of yellow) in those two cars.. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I would say the Modena...but that only has 400HP...so maybe the 575 Maranello?

Well I just read at Autoweek that the price will be in the $120,000us ballpark. That's more at Modena, new Baby Aston Martin, and Porsche GT2 & 911 turbo. But with those specs in should be competing against cars at least twice it price. It's also good to remember that this car shares it's platform with an upcoming Audi super car, therefore maybe that's why Lambo can offer this car with those specs at that price.
