My dad just bought a new camry so I went with him to the dealership. "I'll be done in 10 minutes." So I decide to wait in my car. Man, I can't tell you how many people going into the Toyota dealership walked around my car. I have tints so I guess they didn't realize I was inside. They are only 35%. One guy walked right up to my window and put his hands to his face to shield the light out and quickly jumped back once he saw I was inside. A couple minutes later he comes back with his friend and they stand staring at the front end for a couple of minutes and then give me a thumbs up. The next thing I know, I look inside the dealership and see 4 salespeople checking out the car and pointing. That's when I couldn't take it anymore and had to get out of the car.

I don't mind stares and thumbs up every now and then, but that was just a tad too uncomfortable for my liking. I can't imagine what it would have been like if my car wasn't filthy. Toyota really needs a show stopper of their own again.

LOL! I know how you feel. You get paranoid after awhile. I bet you feel the same at stoplights too.....Like everyone is staring.....:)
At first you dont mind it, "Yeah Im cool, I have this new car" then after a few months it starts to get old, you begin to feel like everyone is staring at you. Now you start to worry that when you park your car somewhere, someone will mess with it, so you hurry up with your shopping or dinner so you can check on it. Or, if your like me and out to dinner, you take several trips to the bathroom and on your way look out the window to make sure the car is fine.....:)
It becomes an obsession and after awhile it begins to detract from the overall pleasant ownership experience....let us know when that happens. Id like to see how many months it takes. Its happened to me on my '93 TT Yellow RX7, and my '00 Yellow C5. It only took about 3 months in the Rx7 and 5 months in the vette. Im getting better.

Hey afropuff, what color is your car? I think I would go with the DG/Graphite combo. Another black car would be nice but the winters here are not very good for black cars. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Puff, I know what you mean.
I took a friend of mine to the Honda dealership to look at a S2000. I had three salesmen tell what a nice car I had.
BTW, when we were done looking at the S2000, my friend said that he would rather have a G35 Coupe.
It was a good day. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You can load a Celica all the way up to $25K or so, within striking range of paper/sticker price of a base 350Z or G35...

Had you used "G35" in your first sentence or a total of 3 times somewhere in the entire post I'm thinking your thread would not have been moved, no matter what it was really about.

The post nazi's have deemed your post unworthy ... "No posts for you ... two weeks!!"
The only thing out of control about the G35 forum is thier clicking finger.
