I just came back from a Honda dealer where they had a 6MT coupe on the floor " market-adjusted " http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/smirk.gif to $37K. Are they outta their frigging minds, or what ? For that kind of money you can get a G35C and maybe have some $$$ left. I asked the salesguy why they added the premium, and he says each dealer gets only 1 copy, so it's pretty scarce. Hey, I'll give you a quarter call someone who gives a shyte. What are they suddenly dealing in 360 Modenas now? BTW, I drove the much-hyped new Accord with 4-banger and its suspension makes my G35 feel like Porsche. The only good thing about that vehicle was the interior and price. The motor was wimpy, steering not much better than Maxima's-itself hardly a benchmark-and handling on the side of inoffensive. I never understood why car rags peed themselves in excitement when talking about the handling of the V6 Accord given that the 2 cars share identical suspension, plus the bigger engine is heavier http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/confused.gif.

Makes a Cl-S .. and G35 coupe look 1000X more appealing

For $37K, if I was a Honda person, I'd get a CL-S or an S2000.

Let me know if someone actually buys an Accord for $37k, I'll drive over to his house and laugh at him with my coupe.

A friend of mine at work is a Honda-guy and is looking to replace his 99 Civic Si. He got the same spiel at some dealers here (not the price, just the availability part) a few weeks ago. I did a google search and the best I could find is someone on vtec.net (I think) who said there would be only 1500 6MT V6 coupes..... he does really like the G coupe, but I don't think he'll change brands....

THANKYOU!!! http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/shocked.gif, this is exactly what I've been saying since I drove the damn car 2 months ago........it feels like a bloody civic....very jolting suspension and hollow feeling. the handling is more like a camry than a euro inspired car......why couldn't people see this until now.

I think Accords are overrated. I mean there are better people movers out there for less $$$.

Notably the Mazda 6 and the Subaru Legacy... the 6 gets you less price but you could still get the 6-cylinder model for less than the Accord... and the Legacy of course has comparable price to the Accord but you're talking Subaru Full-Time AWD.

Notice how I don't say Mazda "6" anymore... now it's simply Mazda 6. But I still think it's a really lame name for a car. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Hey, M_type_X, stop being so fussy! http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
The 6 really is a better buy against the Accord, even without that unagreeable, and silly, dealer markup. They do still need a better V-6 however.

The Honda Dealer I deal with has a red Accord 6mt for 28k on their floor. What dealer was it in Mass?

Is the 6' back seat anywhere near as large as the Accord? Comparing our 99 Accord to our 02 Altima, the Accord's use of sculpted front seatbacks made it almost as roomy as the new Altima, which is HUGE. The new one is surely bigger.
