Dark colors take away all the lines and curves, even the 7 looks good in black. Still can't make a decision without seeing the headlights and rear. After all those are the problems with the 7.

Front end looks Pontiac, side profile looks like Audi A4, and the rear end doesn't change too much from the current model. Overall, I like the design a lot, but it seems less masculine and less German than its predecessors. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif Overall though, I would have to give a slight edge to the Mercedes design teams, the new E-Klass looks very nice, and the S-Klass destroys the 7-series in styling everyday out of the week.

Skyline2 is right, the front end screams "Pontiac", that's the first thing I noticed... I was glad to scroll down and see that someone else noticed it too.

Thats odd, the front end looks like a pontiac, being that pontiac stole the kidney design from BMW.

While the E class is nice, the 7 outdoes the S every day. I've been passed by both on my skate to class about 5 times in the last 2 weeks, and the S just looks OLD.

I'll have to disagree. S-class is elegant and IMO is aging nicely except for the weird headlights. Even though I warmed up to the 7 slightly, it is far from being pretty, the bottom of the rung of the full-size luxury cars. The eyebrows and trunk will never look elegant. I have a bad feeling that the 5's eyes will look horrible too.

should do fine, the current 5 is getting bland and it looks like this new model will fix that. i hope i-drive isn't manditory on all new bmws.

I never really liked MB's new styling route. Kind of androgynous to effeminate. S class doesn't give that imposing feel. The last 7 series really had that quality and even the new one does even though it can look too busy from certain angles.

Well, the Aztec has an 'imposing look,' certainly turn heads, much like the front and rear end of the new 7.

Errr... If by Aztec and imposing you mean imposing the true definition of ugly then that's true my opinion.

But the 7 series has a kind of respect me look to it, at least I think so...

Now the WTF? that is seemingly universal. However, some people do enjoy the truely quirky....
