Looks big, but can't say much more.

I can say more: optional 5.7 Hemi V8 and optional AWD since it's returning to RWD. The design could possibly suck when the wrapping comes off, but throwing a V8 back into a Chrysler sedan and AWD to boot? I'm at least interested in finding out more. GM are you guys taking notes?

I've heard the RWD and Hemi talk already. AWD? Hmm-!

GM is taking notes, but it'll take them 5 years minimum to apply anything they learn.

Right MTX, and where are all the car magazines applauding Lutz now? How special GM must be, making the SS versions of the Impala and Monte Carlo a whole 240hp. Wow. Do you see the excitement on my face? http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

That looks pretty mean for a big car.

I like the roofline. How much do you suppose we should conclude about the chrome around the windows not lining up? http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

It's interesting that Lutz has been blasted about the new GTO on the enthusiast's website; they posted big pics of the upcoming Mustang instead.

I think Chrysler has a good chance against GM/Ford if they really keep rolling.

... I know none of them have chances against Toyota/Honda/Nissan though! http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If the next LX looks that big, wonder how big the 300N is going to be. Imagine a RWD, or AWD coupe version of that as the 300N. Might be kind of heavy thou.

I get the feeling it will only be offered with an automatic. Good for MTX, bad for just about everyone else.

Lutz was blasted about the GTO because they didn't feel it should be called the GTO since the only things really in common are tons of power, 2 doors, and RWD. I won't judge it until I see the numbers. Mainly price and performance.

Looks like Nissan making the Maxima bigger was a good move. Competition is following. Can anywony say AWD V8 Maxima? Roofline is odd, looks like Chrysler is going Caddy.

If they make the Maxima RWD I would consider it, but I am not really interested in FWD or AWD.

Dry pavement performance wise, it depends on the bias of the AWD applicaiton....AWD comes in so many different flavors...but they all add various amounts of weight, which isn't too great a prospect.

The GTR AWD systems is pretty cool, for example...(if it weren't for the weight)...

Yes, there is a reason that Porsches top model is RWD. I am no expert at which handles better, but given the positives and negatives of both, I would say that with a good driver RWD is a better performer. Plus I prefer the handling feel of RWD. And I love squealing tires, donuts, and fishtailing around. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Porsche 959 was AWD and is considered by many their best.

it doesnt look like a chrysler to me, but if it is, i would have to say that the front will probably be like the PACIFICA/CROSSFIRE with the similar shape lights, and a HUGE grill like the PACIFICA's, but bigger and lower. I think the bacd will play off the looks of the current 300M (N?) Anyways, i dont like the roofline, makes the car look mid-eighties... http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That's a toughy. The GT2 and 959 have the same acceleration times, but the GT2 is going faster through the quarter. And i do not see how AWD is an advantage in turning. It adds stability at the cost of handling. If you get what I mean.

You made me think of the 300 and 190 E series from the 80s - the roof looks identical. DaimlerChrysler swore Mercedes would trickle down into Chrysler - its just two decades old!

That's one hell of a blacked out car.... the way it's supposed to be. You can't make out any details at all. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I am glad to se the styling dept shying away from the me too roundness style. I always preferred autos that do not look like overturned bathtubs.

Chrysler has called their new LX product '300N' in some news... but they reserve the right to call it... http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/crazy.gif "New Yorker"

I hope the new LX doesn't look too much like the MisFire... I'd not like to drive around Rochester Hills seeing a plethora of even uglier Chryslers.

Saw a MisFire on Main Street in downtown Rochester last weekend.

Was Celine Dion in it singing a poorly-cover Orbison song?

Seems to be that MB has influence on these cars. It has the same tailights as the SLR ?

No Celine Dion. Although she would blend in there.

Kudos to Chrysler for making a real American sedan! It's about time one of them realized that some people do like that style of car http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/shocked.gif; big, square, mean, rear-wheel-drive and a burly V-8 under the hood. Low-end torque and lots of spawl room inside, yeah baby, yeah! http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/laugh.gif And yes, I do so love adolescent donuts and burnouts. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif
