The new flagship is reaching dealers in the U.S., judging from all the posts, but nothing's shown up on TV, even before the hostilities in Iraq. I was under the assumption that the Maxima was to receive some support in print and TV ads. Where are they? Did I miss something?

seriously, man...there are no signs of advertisement and commercials going for the new Max....even the frontier benefited from commercials when it came out...lets hope Nissan will start some advertising campaign soon...i dont think a lot of people know about the new maxima...the dealerships here havent posted any commercial for the new Max yet...

I doubt you'll see much advertisement for the 04 Max until late spring/early summer. Nissan is doing their level best to get rid of the 03's before they push the 04's. Every time ABC goes to a commercail this past week I seem to see yet another Nissan Clearance Event ad, every one of them starring the 03 Max.
I think Nissan should have waited a few more months to introduce any 2004 model...most brands don't release new model years until September.

That's true, but almost all of Nissan's models appear in that advertisement, not just the 2003 Maxima.

the reason is, is that the maxima intro is occuring right now in Las Vegas, it is over on Sunday and the ads usually follow the intro.

Actually, Nissan has pulled all television advertising because of the War situation. Toyota and Daimler/Chrysler also have pulled their ads and others will probably follow. I guess they figure the American public is not in the mood to see car ads right now.

I think the Marketing and Advertising Business Students of America [MABSA] need to cultivate this idea of "War Sales".
SALE - 2003 MAXIMAS at blah blah blah % APR financing as long as the war continues! But act now, because before you know it, the shooting and killing will stop and it'll BE ALL OVER!
Who needs Ethics courses anyway.

Actually, I have seen their Spring Sales Event commercial last night, so are you sure their ads were all pulled?
