Seating Design and Quality

I have driven both the 04 Maxima and the 03 Accord EX and find that the Accord seat a much superior design for comfort and support. The Honda engineers ,I'm sure worked in harmony with orthopaedic specialists and the result is a firm/supportive and comfortable driver's seat. The Maxima seat is fine, the Accord seat superb !

I agree.
The Accord seats are firm and supportive, something you would expect in a sportier car, but yet quite comfortable.
The Maxima seat is OK. It is cushier than my 03, but does not seem to support as well on the sides. Not impressed.
