The Inspire is the Japanese version of the TL
Doesn't it look familiar? http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I doubt it will be the new TL though, too close to the US Accord. So will the TL be replaced?
Also, a new V6 that can run on 3 cyl to save gas.

Funny that the Japanes Accord becomes the Acura in North America, and the US Accord, gets the Acura treatment in Japan...

Instead of selling the TL in Japan, they decided to sell the standard USDM Accord in Japan along with a whole toolbox of whiz gadgets and technotoys. 2004 TL will be based on the USDM Accord and sold only in America/Canada as far as I know (anyone with information on other markets should post their report).

Honda has been planning to release the Acura name in Japan for a while. So the TL will probably be part of the JDM Acura line-up. It's kinda funny - in the USA we pay a premium for the JDM Accord (TSX) but in Japan the US Accord is positioned higher.
i kind of chuckled when i saw what the new inspire will be - talk about taking advantage of designs and selling them in multiple places under multiple names

Man if they decided to put that V6 engine with displacement on demand in the next TL, watch out http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Isn't it weird that the interior looks so much like that of a 3-serie? Weird, http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Let me get this striaght, from the combination of all the posts above me:
JP TL = Inspire = US Accord
JP Accord = Euro Accord = US Acura TSX
conclusion:
The JP accord looks better then the JP TL http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/confused.gif http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/tear.gif
Now I know why no one ever caught on to Honda's rebadged cars.
JP TL = Inspire = US Accord
JP Accord = Euro Accord = US Acura TSX
why do they make it so damn confusing? http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The 'Inspire' used to be the Acura TL, but now Honda is making the 'Inspire' a rebadged USDM Accord. The 2004 Acura TL will not be sold in Japan as an Inspire, then, obviously. The 'Saber' twin of the Inspire/2003 TL will not be made, as Honda wants to simplify and just have an 'Inspire' instead of an 'Inspire' and a 'Saber.'
Wookies don't live on Endor, and Honda's cross-ocean marketing games don't make any sense either at first glance. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I like it much better than the atrocious nose of US Accord or its Buicky rear end. And I thought only Nissan's higher-ups were out to lunch http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/smirk.gif. We should've been given this Honda Perspire ( or is that Ass-pyre http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/crazy.gif ) model from the get go. BTW, notice the TSX ( JDM Accord ) dash http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/blush.gif.

K, so to sum it up:
exterior
US Accord=Inspire
US TSX=Euro/Jp Accord
interior
US accord=Euro/Jp Accord
US TSX=Inspire
feel like i've left out something...
this has to be one of the most comical threads on here. and the worst part is that no one is even trying to be funny. just listing facts

The front on the 2003 Accord is fine. It's the rear end that needs to be kicked in the butt.

I think the center brake light on the inspire looks better than the ugly accord's. But it's length and width reminds me of smthn tho. Maybe a Caddy? Anyway, it does visually break up the height of the rear.

And how about that humongous Honda badge up front? It can almost double as a tooth.
