looks good but was hoping for more than 160hp.

Base does 148 hp, but no VVT??

A good friend of mine has a 2003 MP5 and because of its power to weight ratio, it feels pretty quick. On the take offs, he will even bet most 6 bangers up to about 60 mph. Don't forget that they'll be debuting a Mazda Speed Turbo edition. Did I mention that handles very well, its actually a pretty fun car to drive.
