Anybody else think those window switches are a bad idea? Truck looks great by the way.

Man ... that is one SWEET rig http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Yup ... I'm not crazy about the location of the window switches. But that's about the only thing that looks out of place.

Thanks for the excellent quality photos. Is it me or does the interior in some of the photos look like blue and tan? It would be nice to return to the days when colors other than tan, gray, or black (the blue) were available.
There are more photos, including excellent photos of a chasis painted for show at the web site for the Xterra owners - http://www.Xterra4x4.com

As long as the switches aren't activated when you rest your arm on the door. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif

No worries guy, check out the placement of the buttons they are right up against the A pillar. Your arm will never be up that high unless your trying to give yourself the hiemlick with the steering wheel. If anything they will be right at your finger tips... so far Great Job Nissan.

I agree...I think that is the BEST place for them in a truck...up and out of the way of everything!

I saw commercial featuring the Titan a couple days ago. I was pretty short, just flashing some still shots. I think one of them was the picture with the boat, but I'm not sure. I was only concentrating on the truck, not the surroundings.. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
Ending with "Coming this Fall." http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/cool.gif

i dont like the switches that high, looks funny, the sun will bake them, and makes it easier to slide a clothes hanger down the window and unlock your door.

Who is that tall? If your Manute Bol maybe... but I'm getting his autograph first. This is a full size pickup truck you know? Either way if any one wants a vehicle Titan or otherwise, they are taking it. Even if they use a coat hanger and a step stool so they can actually reach the top of the window. When I drive I have my arm up there anyway putting those switches right at my fingertips. Which is right where they need to be, cause after a hard day of work no one wants to go searching for buttons.

if that were true, wouldn't ALL auto's have the switch buttons that high?
Either way, there are a few things I don't like about the TITAN, but that's OK you cant please all the people all the time.
There is no such thing as a PERFECT auto, people say it is because there brand loyal, its an exotic, or have some sentimental attachment to it.
It's still high on like list.

door design and interior design loks good, but that better not be all hard plastic, it better have some textures and quality to it

Nissan is really getting hammered lately with comments like
"interior by rubbermaid"
To be perfectly honest that sounds pretty easy to keep clean. As far as switch placement goes it's ergonomics
Saab liked to but the ignition key on the 900's next to the shifter, Porsche 911 ignition keys are typically to the left of the steering column. Personally I'm too tall to put my elbow on the rest that is typically in the middle of the door (where they usually put the switches) and that sill actually looks pretty comfey to rest an arm on.
Which is niether here nor there, point being (your right)there is no perfect placement and I'm sure as soon as they come up with one 5 years down the road they will find it's bad for you.

When they said Rubbermaid they were talking about the design of everything, they think its bland not cheap.
"We also think the interior suffers from the Rubbermaid syndrome—in other words, it looks a little bland for a truck that will start at about $35,000."
