I work at the engine plant in Decherd, TN. I'm currently maching the blocks for the VQ 3.5 V6. The machining line for the V8 is 100 feet from my work area. I've been building Chevy and Ford V8s all my life and the new Nissan V8 really impresses me. The 6 bolt main caps and the 4 valve/cyl heads are amazing. Nissan really did their homework designing this engine. They didn't take any shortcuts. It is a true designed and manufactured in America engine. Not a 32 valve car engine like the one Toyota is using in the Tundra. They really detuned the engine to get it down to 305 hp. The potential of aftermarket tuning for this engine is unreal. I plan to have a crew cab 4x4 in my driveway soon. I can't wait to hear what it sounds like with Flowmasters under it.
