It's supposed to come with the supercharged V8 from the Jaguar XJ/XKR, with styling bosed on the Range Rover.
Honestly I can't imagine it, and it seems kind wrong, but oh well. what do you guys think?

I know that land rover is owned in some part by BMW. that truck/car looks like a combination of the X5 and the old 5 series wagon. It seems that BMW likes to revisit past designs quite often. yet its kinda bulgy in the Isuzu axion department especially in the fron end.

I think it'll end up looking pretty sweet, unless they give it the awful Range Rover headlights

It kind of reminds me of the mustang concept.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that Land Rover is NOT owned by BMW, but instead is part of Ford's PAG group of upscale marques, hence the supercharged Jag engine and not a BMW unit in the Range Rover Sport.

As far as I know, Range Rover is still using BMW's engine, but I think it's the last Range Rover model that will use BMW's anything.

TroopaFanatic and NissT are both correct. BMW sold off Rover in 2000. But as part of the sale, the current Range Rover (still unreleased when the sale occured) would still get to use the BMW 4.4 V8 engine.

all three of you are right, but I believe that BMW was also responsible for the current Range Rover desing, cause it was already in the works when they sold Rover.

mmmmmmm.....BMW 850Ci....
I was seriously looking into buying a used 850Csi (which was basically an M8)...but reading up on the maintenance and used reliability of these beasts on some message boards scared me away from it. That, and their 12mpg premium fuel appetite.
But boy are they smoooth!...
