I know there've been posts on the R35 before but these questions are different, I think. Anyone know if the new GT-R will be a 2, 4, or maybe 5 seater? Also, how come Nissan doesn't have any information or news whatsoever on the upcoming R35? Is it official that it will be an 05 or 06 or is that still just a rumor? Can't wait to see what engine it really will have... would be sweet if it got a V8, could be "Japanese Muscle and Japanese Quality", the latter of which most American cars lack http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif. All the American cars we've owned had horrid reliability, and the ones I see today are still pretty bad.

1. We have no proof, or even reason to speculate, that the chassis code with be R35. In all likely hood, the chassis code with be V35 as that is what the non-GT-R Skylines are now.
2. More than likely it will be a 2+2. All previous ones have been based of the 2+2 coupe form of Skyline, this one will most likely be no different. They have a 2-seater sports car. 5 seat is just impractical in any coupe.
3. Goshn's most recent comment was "release in 2007" for Japanese market. Take it with a grain of salt.
4. Nissan Corporate has information, they just aren't sharing yet so that the competetiors have less time to catch up.
5. Nothing has been said about US engine, however Japanese market motor has been semi-confirmed to be a 3.2L version of the VQ with twin-turbos (electric assited).
6. You haven't been in too many recent Nissans, have you?. Although interior quality is still above that of GM/Ford/Chysler, it is not anywhere near the Toyota/Honda level, or what Nissan interior quality was in the early/mid-90s. Also, you can have Japanese muscle without a V8.
Every question you posed, except maybe the amount of seats, has been discussed in lenght on this forum in the past. Use search. Or, since this forum isn't even that active, just scroll back through a couple pages worth of threads.
Usually I wouldn't take the time to post a response to this, but I'm in a generous mood.

Sorry bout that, didn't do a good enough job in search, i'll be sure to next time, probably won't make another post on the R35 though.
No, haven't been in many new Nissans. We own two older ones, 88 ZX and 95 Pathfinder. We also have an 01 Toyota Sequoia, the interior in that thing is really impressive indeed. My gf's Pontiac Grand Prix don't have terribly impressive interiors, and they have the limited edition high end 40th anniversary supercharged one.
Yeah I know there can be Japanese Muscle without a V8... would still be cool to see a V8 Japanese sports car other than Datsuns with small block American V8s in them. Some of those Supras and Skylines are insane heh.
