Nitekids is just spouting off at the mouth as usual - why bother answering if you don't know the answer? Completely unneccesary.
Lots of cars - don't know the actual numbers.
One of the funnier things was the Supras and honduhs rolling up with one of their headlights removed to get better airflow - trolling for races.

I didn't do an acual count but it acually seemed like less cars this year then last year but I could be wrong. But the turnout still seemed pretty good.

BTW thanks to those that did stupid stunts as you left; I saw a few before I left at 3PM and to be quite frank and honest, if things like this keep happening you guys can have your own meets and I will just avoid you all.
Some people cannot stop from being childish and possibly ruining it for everyone. Nobody realizes it but the LA County Sheriff's station was about 1/2 miles down the street on Avalon on the other side of the freeway.
Next time there won't be a next time. If people want to be idiots I will call the cops on them and everyone else can go home. Meets like this are not a time to show off your ego or your lack of self control with the gas pedal. If you cannot control yourself from making a ruckus when leaving then I DO NOT WELCOME YOU AT ALL AT ANY FUTURE EVENTS THAT I HOST.
Do I make myself clear? Or must I repeat it prior to every single event like a babysitter?

i think alex is refering to people doing burn outs and launchs on the way out. (common occurance every meet these days)
Alex i think maybe we should have meets in area's with higher police concentrations (such as torrance/ wilson park) to discourage dumb asses from acting foolish.

no one with an SR will show up to a "high police concentration" area car show.
i dont think anything will stop people from actiong foolish except maybe some speed bumps

Why dont you just make a picket sign and stick it on the grass so everyone can read it on their way out?

ownin an s13 and drifting is by definition being a jackass! haha its a jackass thing to do compared to other motorsports, the whole scene is about being an a hole and controling the uncontrollable...
I drove like a grandma on my way out. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/confused.gif
yeah and some people felt it neccesarry to sit in a line of 10 cars and park chat and hang out idling and talk while we were tying to leave, just blocking the entire exit to that rice boy shop called shine...thanks! as my gas tank ran dry.... http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/mad.gif
i had fun for the most part but you cant expect to not have people do somthing "stupid" or "illegal" thats part of owning an s13 with an sr... tuff sht! just dont have the meets then...im sure other people will still organize

Yeah there was a few stupid morons that came, someone should have took their license plate numbers! But, all in all the day was fun. I think more people stayed longer last year, people kept coming in and out. I will post my pics, when i get off my ass. http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

So you're dissin Shine Street, the meet, S13 owners, and from the sounds of it...Alex, for complaining about some idiots?
Were you one of the guys doing burnouts on the way out? You don't seem to think it's a big deal...

I rarely go to 240 meets.. but everytime I do go, people do burnouts, both newbies and people that have been in the 240sx community for a long time...but I noticed everyone points their fingers at the newbies or the hondas, while the "respected oldtimers/well known people" get away with it..lol. Sad, but very true.

Who mentioned you?
Alex i think maybe we should have meets in area's with higher police concentrations (such as torrance/ wilson park) to discourage dumb asses from acting foolish.
Or how about not at all? That's the best solution!
Why dont you just make a picket sign and stick it on the grass so everyone can read it on their way out?
Because not everyone can read English.

What's more dumb? People chatting and holding up the line, or those that CHOOSE to let their cars idle and run their gas tank dry?
BTW thank you for insulting my friend's work. I'm sure your place blows all the other tuning places in SoCal away since it is so bad-ass.
i had fun for the most part but you cant expect to not have people do somthing "stupid" or "illegal" thats part of owning an s13 with an sr... tuff sht! just dont have the meets then...im sure other people will still organize
I merely pointed out my observation(s) of the event. If you think having a meet automatically justifies people doing something "stupid" then perhaps when your car gets impounded one day you will understand why I emphasize what I emphasize.

I have no idea who did what but from what I can tell, these people did stupid things:
- red S14 around noon that tried to do a power slide in the cul-de-sac.
- needless revving when leaving the parking lot by many people.
- self-admission by RPSport that he did stupid things when leaving
- some S13 (after I left) that did a burnout of some sorts when leaving Shine Street.
Like I said, the LA County Sheriff's station was 1/4 miles down the street... next time someone wants to be hot [censored] and act all macho please let me know so I can arrange police escort for you.

Hmm that doesnt make sense since nitekids (the person) and many other seem to like to meet in rowland heights life plaza which i consider more risky then say torrance. I'd say torrance is much safer then the Industry/ rowland area for meets since less people have been pulled over and asked to pop their hoods in torrance.

Next time ill bring a flare gun to tell people im trying to leave sorry i did a stupid thing and if i dont idle my car or try to butt my cars nose thru the crowd, i might as well pull back into the lot park it and just stay at shine street forever so no i dont think idling trying to squeeze out of the lot was dumb.
I didnt mean to insult your friends shop but i was expecting more than a set of tien springs in the corner in the showroom thats all.
so did your friends shop get any new business?

No idling wasn't dumb; what you did after you idled was dumb. But hey, justify your actions however you want.
I didnt mean to insult your friends shop but i was expecting more than a set of tien springs in the corner in the showroom thats all.
He's done "meet special" pricing on products each of the past 3 years but no one bought anything, so this year he skipped that part. Blame 240 owners for being cheap.
so did your friends shop get any new business?
Probably; GP Sports wants photos of the meet to see what level of "participation" there is in the 240SX community here (they heard about the meet on Monday), and they want to start importing items through Shine Street. Oh, but since it's a "rice boy shop" I'm sure there is no point for Will to try to import GP Sports stuff directly.

That or they get their parts from somewhere else, get a better price, or just didnt want to buy anything that day.

huh? well if your talking about me steve from rpsport, i was everywhere at the meet talking to as many people as i could, had to talk a little business with some people in private,i helped about 4 people with their cars right there in the lots on my hands and knees for free? I mean i guess if you call that being not seen i suppose so , its hard to be seen when your under an s13...
I make it clear who i am at every event and no one seems to have a problem with me! With i could have met you doood. maybe another time! http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif
240sx owners arent cheap people who own 240sx's are by definition consumers with a brain because they know bang for their buck. the s13 is close to the ultimate car for bang/buck... http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I make it clear who i am at every event and no one seems to have a problem with me!
I had a problem with you revving up and speeding in the parking lot at Mile Square Park, and your excuse for speeding was that your wastegate opened.
I also had a problem with the people you were with (from what I can tell, some kid that wasn't old enough to drive attempting to do some sort of drifting and/or "skidpad testing" in a parking lot. And when I got mad and told them to stop, all I got was a shrug.
FYI afterwards the park rangers was very mad at me personally because I had assured them things like this would not happen. But hey, since no one blamed you directly, in person, no one seems to have a problem with you!
You sure make it very clear who you are, and at this pace you are bound to be kicked out of a future event very soon.

i wasnt aware of this drift/skidpad issue at msp until after the fact i was on the phone trying to help someone with their car i believe...that was pretty embarassing
you cant go lumping people into things because they are within 20 ft of someone else, although the person responsible for that got an earful and half for dickin around and if you had pointed me in the direction of the park rangers i would have had them talk to them as well.
...and yes at the time my 46mm wastegate runing open atmosphere (the only person at the meet with one) did open under the car i was goin 15mph in 1st gear externals are cool! http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif
i really want to be your friend mav, i know i have a bad temper and a heavy foot, thats why im a drag racer haha comon lets put this behind us and move forward in our relationship together. I mean im open to advice but the world is built on love not strife. If you want ill mow down that 15 yr old with a sawed off if i can find him? http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif
