In order to achieve that time for an AWD vehicle, I suspect that you would have to dump the clutch at 5k+ rpms. Still impressive though, but why single out just the 350Z? They are not even in comparable markets.

My parents just got the driver's seat adjustment cable fixed in my mom's Outback. They test drove a Forester while they were at the dealer ... won't be buying a turbo Forester anytime soon. I would not want to own nor would i want to bee seen in a Freakin Forester. Who cares how fast it is off the line, the driving pleasure of the Forester *if it has any is nothing compared to the Z.

I've driven a Turbo Forester with 4AT and it had the crappiest, crudest suspension this side of Ford Tempo. There was nothing which would even remotely suggest that rig was capable of the claimed 0-60 times. I then drove a new Outback with inline 6 which in terms of overall sophistication felt like a BMW 5-series wagon in comparison to that POS.

Subaru has grown some balls! I am a 350Z fan, and love this kind of advertising, including this one. Notice they don't say it handles better than the Z.
