Thread: S15 vs. S13 vs Vortech S2000.

    S15 vs. S13 vs Vortech S2000.

To put it mildly the s2000 got its doors blown completely off.

My co-driver said he didnt even know the s2000 was racing.

The runs were from 60 mph rolls on the FWY in socal up through 5th gear.

The s13 is my friend lukes' Drift/drag for fun car with 350 hp range setup, S15 is around 300whp maked out stock turbo with built head and FMIC.
S2000 is making around 280+ whp with Vortech Supercharger at 5psi.

So moral of the story, buy an s15 and build the head keep the turbo stock, or dont buy an s2000. S15 had dyno time, s13 did not. Door to door through the gears.

Good show. I messed around with an S2000 the other day in my ka na 240 ( intake, headers, exhaust) and the S2000 had atleast an exhaust. It was pretty even through second and third then traffic came up. I would imagine an SR 240 vs a blown S2000 would be somewhat even but then again I think blenders make more touque than the S2000.

As much as I like to drive my 240, I really enjoy driving my buddies AP2 S2000. The car is just sooooo butter in comparison.

300whp out of a T28(stock S15 turbo) is utter BS. the most you can get out of them is 260whp.

Either your dyno is reading high or you are pulling numbers out of your ass.

Actually it's been proven several times with dyno charts that with supporting mods the GT28R can max out to 300-320 whp.

No offense, but with a username like yours...I thought you would have knew.

IM SORRY TO SAY THIS BUT THE T28 IS CAPABLE OF WAY MORE THAN 260HP I HAVE STOCK S14 SR MOTOR WIT STOCK T28 AND NO TUNE WITH 12LBS. AND IT PULLS 258HP ON A MUSTANG DYNO AND ABOUT 267 ON A DYNOJET. AND WITH A TUNE INJ. AND MAF WILL DO CLOSE TO 300HP ON STOCK TURBO AT 16-18LBS.

Don't buy an S2000 because it isn't as fast in a straight line as a FI car? LOL

I love Nissans, but the s2000 handles beautifully...it makes the s13 feel like a grand national in corners. Of course anything with a proper setup can handle wonderfully
In a few weeks we'll see if the power in my s13 makes p for the better factory design of some s2ks and NSXs on the track

Take them both through the twisites and see who looses. Stock for stock. No S chassis can hang there. Good win

Drive an S15 in California? Risky...
