Also, I can confirm that the fold-in mirror switch is still backwards. Amazing.

Sorry II havent been following the thread guys.

I am off until Saturday as of tonite on Satruday I will get into a car and hopefully figure out how to change the sensitivity on the BSW.
I am still leanirng myself but I seen it somewhere, but it will take some research on my part.

It's not the BSW sensitivity that's the problem, IMO. It's the LDW (and LDI) that is so annoying I am forced to turn it off.

M37/56 Tech Tips, Tricks and Shortcuts

Anyone ever try changing the position of an item in the Nav's address book, on a first generation M (2006-2010) and on the current M?

They've changed the way it works, very much for the better.

On the first generation M, the only way to change the position of an item in the address book was to "Swap Position" with another item. Which meant that if you added a new item at the end of your list, and you wanted to move it to, say, the second position, then the item that WAS at the second position of your address would be moved to the END of the address book. You'd have to do an AWFUL lot of swapping to get one item moved up and all other items back where they were. For that reason, I have tended to avoid the process entirely.

Well, they've greatly improved that on this new M. The "Move Address book item" function now INSERTS the moved item wherever you want, and just moves the others down one. This is exactly what I always wanted them to do.

If you've ever gone through that process on the old M, you'll really enjoy this change.

BTW, You can find this function at:

    Settings>Navigation>Address-Book>Stored-Location>(select an item)>Edit

    Telephone Tips

The telephone button on the steering wheel is capable of more than pulling up the telephone menu, and it can be used to solve an annoyance I have with the system.

If I am on a call using bluetooth and I switch over to the map, if I want to end the call I would have to switch back to the telephone menu and then push a button to hang up. The annoyance came because I would always forget I was in the map view, and pushing the button would ask me to "save the location" and I would end up with a stored address book entry.

I found out that the steering button can also be used to hang up, so now if in the map view, I just hit that button twice to hang up.

Additionally, when a phone book entry is selected on the screen, normally you select it, then the next screen would ask you to select "dial." Pressing the steering wheel button when the entry is selected will skip the "dial" step and immediately place the call.

OK, da mayor, time to fess up! What are those "neat little things" that "will be coming in 2013 for the M"? (I hope you meant the 2013 model year and not literally March 2013!) Am I gonna get my Around-View Monitor?

Anyone know how to do this on the 2013 M?

Also can the rear parking lights be set to stay on with the headlights when shutting the car off?
