    Congratulations John English!

First of all my apologies to John for posting his "Congrats" so belatedly, I was in the middle of a move and job change in last 1.5 months and am only now getting my bearings.

He has been a polite postive and helpful member ever since he joined Freshalloy.

Here is John in his own words:

    "I'm a 32 year old investment banker and I live in Toronto, Canada. I currently own a 2009 G37xS.

I've always been a "car guy" and have memberships at many different automotive forums. FA is one of the ones I frequent the most, not only because I have a Nissan/Infiniti product, but because of quality posting. I can't tell you how many forums I go to that 70% of the posts revolve around either which wheels/bodykits/spoilers to buy, road racing stories, or people asking the same 5 questions over and over because they're too lazy to read the manual.
My introduction to Nissan's came with my parents' 1997 Nissan Maxima SE. There have been many cars since then but when it came time for me to get a car I had been looking at a Mercedes C63 AMG, BMW M3, and BMW 335ix. I hadn't even considered Infiniti and it wasn't until I tried driving my sister's 2008 Infiniti G37S Coupe that I seriously started looking at the G37 Sedan.

I ended up going with Infiniti becuase it offered the best price-performance ratio in my opinion. Compared to the BMW and Mercedes offerings it was roomier and cheaper. One downside to living in Canada is our high car prices. The C63 and M3 were both almost $100,000 vehicles once all the options had been added on and I really didn't want to pay that much for a car at that point in time. When comparing the G37 to a 335i it was considerably roomier so the final decision was pretty easy.

As I've mentioned a few times here the lease on my G37 will be up in October of next year so I'm starting to think about other cars again. I've been looking at the BMW 550i, Mercedes E550, Mercedes CLS 550, and Infiniti M56S.

Right now the the M56S is in the lead simply because the price-performance ratio is the best of the lot although I do hope that Infiniti continues adding more tech and "premium features" to their cars."

I am looking forward to hearing from John for a long time to come!!

"In the end we all just play the roles given us... Sometimes they dont fit so well,... but I guess we make do."

    Dont forget MultiMedia forums!!

This thread is a year old, and it looks like some of the posts to it got lost in the last forum move. So I'll once again extend my congratulations to John for his contributions to the site. John is a real asset to Fresh Alloy, and we're proud to have him as a member.

Keep up the good work, John! And thanks again.
