    2015 Mercedes-Benz C-class (W205) leaked interior pics

They are a bit grainy/not HD but they are full-sized and give a good impression of how it will feel to sit in one.

    Compared to the Q50 interior:

These two share very similar basic architecture and even similar wood trim placement on the doors. The door cards appear to differ only in placement of the latch handle and the trademarked MB seat controls- trim, armrest, location of the window controls, and diagonal pleating (albeit directionally inversed) are the same. The door panel flow into an upper tier of the two-tiered dash is the same. Both cars have a flowing waterfall center console (this is new for MB), while the C-class eschews the console shifter for a column-mounted one as in the E- and S-class. Vents are different, as are the IP, switches, and infotainment screen/solutions, but there is a lot of similarity here. Coincidence? Are we sure that these cars aren't platform/design mates?

While both interiors are great, I have to give the edge to the C. I see what appears to be a lot of metal switchgear that wouldn't look out of place in an S-class. The steering wheel looks like the best in this class- and who doesn't love the small-diameter, fat, flat-bottomed steering wheels that MB has been producing lately? To top everything off, we have a nice leather (or is it MB-tex?) upper dash that really makes it look more expensive than it is.

    Nice work, MB!

The M-B uses a key??? I would expect ANY Mercedes to have keyless start.
If someone blows up a school with a bomb they go after the bomber ... if someone shoots up a school they go after the gun.

That's a $2,000 option... as are the steering wheel, 4 wheels, headlights, windshield wipers, and an engine.

Hey, it's still a German car- a really really nice German car, but a German car nonetheless. Oh- you wanted metallic paint, air coniditioning, heated seats like in your top-of-the-line Altima, and navigation? That'll be an extra $13,650, please.

You both are wrong, the start/stop button on MB can be removed and put key in its place... it is standard on most MB cars, unlike BMW is an option almost all their cars, it is $1000.00 on all of them.
This interior could be their top of the line. Back in 2007 current C-class came out, I picked '08 G35 over C300.

I stand corrected on the key.

It's a top of the line interior for sure, but it's still very nice. It looks to be of higher quality than the current E's interior and I do believe MB's hype about it being comparable to the W221 S. It appears to use the same materials, and even some switches from the new (W222) S!

I'd have taken the 08 G35 over the pre-FL W204 C300 as well. At that point, MB's massive strides of improved reliability had yet to be proven, and the 08-11 C-class used significantly cheaper materials than the G of the same era... though the C had the type of awesome, rock-solid build quality that is typical of recent Mercedes.

This car (W205) though, will give the Q50 a real run for its money in terms of which I prefer. I can almost gurantee a higher price tag and maintenance costs for the MB, but not as bad as BMW. BMW seems to have taken MB's late 90s-mid-00s mantle of being the most ridiculously expensive, unreliable, and costly to maintain mainstream luxury brand in the world. Also, I am aware from my MB forum lurking that the combination of 4matic and 7gtronic transmission is hit-or-miss when the new car warranty expires. There are some very expensive transmission + transfer case reaplacement stories, to the tune of $8,000 parts/labor total cost. However, these are internet forums, and it's likely that you're reading about the 1/1000 of C-class owners who have actually had this problem.

I don't understand - how is it removed and replaced? By the dealer? By the owner?

Oh you need to speak German to understand this. Here it is.. If you wish to have a key installed at the factory in place of the push button start you need to check this option on the factory order. But this will add heads up display and rear sonar for $17K. Do you wish to continue with this order?

Oh, this turns out to be wise guy speak, not German. My German is a bit rusty these days.

I'm really not trying to be a smartass. Really. But can the owner just unplug this and then stick a key in the hole that's left? Or is it something done at the factory level as an option?

    I'm totally unfamiliar with this.

Germans have expensive options, often for silly things that should be standard/would be standard on a loaded Camcordtima as I alluded to- but they do well with a la carte. It's our beloved Japanese brands who tend to force you into a $10,000 package to get the one thing you want.

    Well, I did find this:

He does say "most models" come equipped with this removable push-button feature. I checked mbusa and it seems to be a $650 option on all models below the CLS in the MB food chain. Those from the CLS on up, including the S and CL, seem to have a different, nonremovable push button as standard equipment. I honestly did not know that it was removable and that you could start it with the insertion and turning of the fob!

    Pretty pricey for a key, HUD & sonar - it's a car not a fighter jet !!

I do like that new interior, very nicely done !

Mercedes' recent interiors look nice, but I still prefer the overall Audi interior look.

I like BMW interiors, except for the orange interior lighting. It's hard my eyes.

Wow, I had no idea. I've never seen that before. Cool.

    Pre-Facelift W204 interior:

    W205 debut interior:

What a generational difference! It's more like they skipped a generation! The W204 debuted with such sub-par interior materials and such an uninspiring design. I've been in those and the build quality is amazing, though- that's the saving grace. If this new one is built as well, it's game-over for the competition. Mercedes should have been this devout all along to crushing the competition. Now it's Audi's turn to answer back.

Saw this render of the wagon:

If that's accurate, and there is a god, then please let it come here. <3

I love the W212 wagon (S212 more accurately!), despite its slightly awkward details. This destroys that in looks. It also makes even the tight, sexy BMW and Audi wagons look like poo. I really hope it comes out of the oven like this! Imagine the C63 AMG version!

Kinda wish the nav screen didn't look like an afterthought. I still prefer screens that are integrated into the dash.
