Congress is Cutting Retired Military Benifits

Saw this, this morning and was pissed off excused my French. Congress is saying that they will be doing a 1% cut for retired veterans with disabilities under age of 62. The average retired enlisted will lose a little over 80,000 a year, while the average officer will lose roughly 120,000 over 22 years. These are the benefits that was promised to us for serving our country and putting our lives on the lines each and everyday while we were in. A lot of people have never experienced being deployed to war, dealing with family issues at the same time. Congress has no idea what the past and present men and woman have gone through to make great sacrifices for this Great Nation. I will be one of many AMERICAN VETRANS taking actions, voicing my concerns on this issue. They have many military organizations taking stands on this now, I will keep you all posted on this. I have enclosed the web address for you all to look at, many people don't realize being in the military, you are not rich, depending on your rank, you might make it to middle class,

I just took action on this issue and thought you might find it interesting too. The website just has you fill in some address info and it creates letters to the president and your senators. No need to be a MOAA member. Thanks for your service to all of our veterans, our voices can be heard if we all come together for this common goal

Cutting retired military benefits and fighting like their lives depend on it for tax breaks for the wealthy? Gotta love the Republicans. Only political party I know that blantantly are for rich people, and big corporations making money!!

I am really glad that someone else thought that the whole cutting military benefits was BS. Thanks for posting that link. I just sent the email myself to make sure that the message is being heard.

+1. Obamacare already put a dent in retirerees health care
(Medicare). Minus VA and military benefits doubles that pain for servicemen.
