Does anyone wax or polish his windshield? If so, how well has it worked?

My car gets lots of bee poop on it because there are so many flowering trees around the parking lot, and once it sticks to the windshield it takes time to scrape off. Washing and then drying it with a squeegee makes streaks across the glass.

To keep it from sticking I'm going to try applying Liquid Glass. I cleaned the windshield soap and water, followed with Windex, and then with a clay bar. I applied Liquid Glass to half of the windshield to see if it makes it much easier to clean off bug splats and bee droppings.

In the past I tried car wax and found my windshield seemed to attract more dust than usual.

Never tried car wax on the glass, as I figured it would create a haze when the wiper went across it.

There is a product called Glass Wax, but I didn't have very good luck with it. Ditto for products like Rain-X.

To be honest, I haven't found anything that really even cleans glass without swirls and streaks, much less something that would protect against "bee poop".

Good luck in your quest, and let us know how it goes.

I've used 3M Perfect-it II and a rotary with a foam pad with pretty good success. I've been able to polish out or mask small scratches in window and windshields. It also leaves the glass super slick.

Yeah, for routine cleaning I've been using Stoner Invisible Glass with wadded-up newsprint. I don't like the ink getting on my hands, but it works pretty well.

I'd be careful with wax on the windshield, can make the wipers streak & judder.
I wax my side & back glass to make it easier to clean & that seems to work OK.

I have regularly waxed the windshields of my cars and not once had an issue.
On the glass I use 3M Perfect-it Paste Wax, I like it because in rain I don't need to use the wipers as often.

I use Klasse All-In-One which is an acrylic sealant on my windshield. No film residue, and works great with no wiper issues.

i need to polish out my front window for sure. On the other hand ' I have been using dry silicone for sliding doors on the windows. Now my j30 will not get that wind-tunnel kinda pattern on the back and side window's when it rains. It just will not happen no matter how funky the weather is in wa. state . Makes the windows really smooth too. well ,thats all i got . one thing i was just thinking is i dont have city water with sodium or calcium hypochlrite in it so i dont know it reacts to it . And best to get water spots off before application i have found out . lol. Plus mines been on for over 2 years and i dont know how to get it off . Not that i want to either ! It will probably be warn off when my sliding door in house i used it on starts getting hard to work. lol. i use to use wax myself too .
