    NAIAS: Nissan vMotion

This could represent the future of the altima. I like it's proportions and the design direction. Had the Maxima looked like this I'd have been a huge fan. Would like to see some of these design cue brought upscale into Infiniti

I def disagree that Nissan design cues should trickle up to Infiniti. I finally feel like they have successfully separated their design languages and they don't need to go back.

But yes this concept is hot, for what it is. Stripping away the concept design cues still leaves a very well proportioned FWD car underneath. But Nissan/Infiniti seem to be bringing some pretty complex surfacing to production so some of what we see may not be too far fetched for production.

I hope this is a heavily desguised Altima. Though they made some great improvements with the mid-cycle refresh, the initial 2013 Altima def lost its place as one of the most stylish and sporty in its class. And with the Camry going all radical(don't think in a good way) they need to step it up style wise with the next Altima. If this is indication, I have nothing to worry about. But it would be nice if they could top the Mazda6 in style. That car is amazing with the front end update they did a couple years back. I was looking at one on the road and it truly looked like a concept car. So it's def the benchmark for me.

Very Lexus-like, and i don't mean that in a good way. Too much knife-edge origami and squeezy, squinchy tail lights.

Styling is subjective, but this doesn't do it for me. I just don't care for this look.

Great, they have a new Altima. Meanwhile the Frontier goes on and on and on and on, neglected. when trucks are getting hot again too.

While it is mind-boggling that the Frontier has gone unchanged this long, especially with the Navara debuting years ago, the Altima is still a very important product for Nissan even if sedans are hurting and it's no longer the top seller. Its still moving 300k units a year, so it is def going to have priority over the Frontier.

But I would hope the Frontier is coming soon. I really don't get why it wasn't updated with the Navara when they were the same truck before. I do think the Navara's design is too soft for America, but I wouldn't think it would take THIS long to reskin the truck when they could have done that during the initial development.

But yea, this is a nice concept and I def think the sharp lines, though I don't think they're quite on Lexus levels, will be toned down for production.

I think it is about size. My guess is they started down the road to downsize the Frontier to the original D21 size, but since pickups have gotten hot again, maybe they are rethinking it?? I don't know.

And here we go again, comparing the Altima to a Lexus again:
