Titan has seen slow ramp up sales, now I know why

This is a good article. It is an interesting approach that feels like it is packed with risk. The slower they ramp up, the harder it will become to change people's opinions in those 40 other markets. If it looks like it doesn't sell well, it must be a bad truck. We will see. Good read non the less:

Seeing a lot of them in the Tampa area, even some single cab versions (no king cabs tho).

I wish they had not followed the 'huge grill' trend !

Interesting. Nissan, like the other Japanese makers, has never been able to really crack the stranglehold the Big 3 have on full-size pickups in the U. S.

In my opinion they still don't have the formula down, so we'll see how this new strategy plays out.
If someone blows up a school with a bomb they go after the bomber ... if someone shoots up a school they go after the gun.

A privilege is just a right that has been taken away by government.

Political correctness is cowardice wrapped in a lie.

They had some super prices on Titans here a couple months ago.. but they went back up.. probably some incentives expiring..

Oh wow. I did not know they were taking this approach. Definitely interesting and different... and could prove to be smart. Now it makes sense that I see new Titans here in Houston at a rate that you would think they're selling more than 3-5k a month nationwide. I think overall the Titan missed the mark on the typical truck ratings, but it is by no means a bad truck and not capable. Most people and businesses/contractors will barely ever come close to exceeding the ratings of the Titan. Even at the low end of the class, the Titan and all of the Half-ton competition is towing more than HD trucks of less than 2 decades ago.

I expect that once they open up to all the markets, they'll be knocking on 10k sales per month. Still a drop in the bucket, but significant for Nissan.
    My Opin.

I believe this is the only area left where "Buy American" has meaning. Everyone wants to buy American but it doesn't always work. Many foreign cars are built here while many American cars are not. But when you show up to someones house or business it does look good to have American. And all these trucks are pretty good, including Dodge. I only say Dodge because I've been amazed by the ride and I think they get a bad rap. Ahead of the Tundra by far, as of a few years ago. But of course they do go back and forth. I haven't been in the Nissan yet.
