Worthy of note that Titan and Armada are showing the biggest percentage increases over 2016. The truck/SUV craze continues.

I think it has more to do with the fact that their Titan marketing strategy is working in the 4 select, initial markets. Imagine when they adopt that same approach in other markets...

QX80 has always sold exceptionally well even during the downtown and high gas prices, I would expect no different for the new Armada, the interior is several levels above its class. You are getting a good deal and I wish they would use whatever strategy this is in other vehicles. The vehicles just sell exceptionally well.

Funny that the QX80 sales have actually increased since the New Armada debuted. Thought it would be the opposite.

I think Infiniti has developed a certain snob appeal factor that would explain why the QX80 outpaces the Armada. To many, Nissan is considered a budget brand, while Infiniti is near-luxury.

The QX80 is not actually outselling the Armada, it's just it's seen a sales increase since the the new Armada debuted. While Nissan is not known to be a high end brand, I don't think people think of it as a budget brand either.

I would consider Nissan a mainstream brand just like Toyota, Honda, Chevy and Ford and I dont think people consider Infiniti near luxury when QX80 can sell for $80k and other models are priced near or in-line with their competitors price ranges. Acura and Buick are what I would consider near-luxury.

Snobs can say whatever they want, but Infiniti is a luxury brand and Nissan is mainstream.

I don't understand the QX70 sales - are there any new ones on dealer lots?

SUV crazy market and styling updates that have kept it somewhat fresh looking.

So many insightful things said in this thread I find it hard to add anything..
    Let me try anyway:

    - Seen some QX 80s on the road here.. They have a tremendous amount of presence
    -
If my income was just a tad higher (or if my mentality was the same as 10 yrs ago where I focus all my income on the best possible vehicles) I would jump on a 2017 Armada. It huge value and it makes Nissan SUVs great again..
    - There was a 2017 Titan FS at my dealer about 8 months ago.. It was not selling for some reason...dark grey exterior and it was an SV..not a S... Was 12,300 below MSRP. So I could have bought a brand new, 10year/100,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty , crew cab, 4x4 V8 powered full size truck for a mere 30k.
I didn't pull the trigger.. and now I cannot find a deal close to it anywhere 7000 under MSRP for a SV is the lowest I can find now.. regrets... then again not having that yeraly property Tax here in VA for a new truck is a good thing.. That was a big part of what held me back from getting it too..
-So yes the truck craze is continuing when even myself a long year sports sedan/sports car only guy who used to make fun of SUVs and folks driving a Pickup as a daily when they dont even live on a dirt road..likes them now..

    LOL, me too !!

Tho I really did like my Titan and am sorry I let it go, but @ the time it didn't make sense to keep it as it only got 13mpg + premium gas @ $5/gal was a killer !

I like the Armada, but it's simply way larger than I really need. The new Pathfinder is ugly IMO and the whole CVT business is a huge turn-off on the rest of the line-up

The New Armada is the hotness!
And the 2017 Titan gets a 10 year/100,000 mile bumper to Bumper warranty!

The 2WD versions of the Titan can be had for as little as 20k!!!
Just think of it as a bigger old school 2WD Sedan with a 390 hp V8 (on regular!)

Tempting as another Titan would be, I really need the enclosed space so I can load up & transport 3 - 4 large dogs @ a time.
WAY too hot & rainy here most of the year to transport in cages in the bed ! And slapping a cap on it just makes it a 'homemade' Armada
