    Small or expanded killing zone

Most of the discussions about killing-accuracy I have read focus on putting multiple hits into the smallest size circumference. I wonder if this is really the result once should pursue.

I think that putting multiple hits into a given area printing a slight variances in pattern would produce more blood flow.

Anyway, the last time I took my Ruger Carbine to the range I practiced this way., first, I took one shot and adjusted the red dot sight. Then shot all my magazines into a specific area rather than concentrating on placing them in the first hole produced.

What do you think is the most advantageous way?

I think there is a lot of validity for training for a tight group.
It will open way up and wander downwards during quick high stress firing anyway ultimately producing the effect you describe.

Like palmerwmd says, you can train for tiny groups all day, but when (if) the going gets real, those groups are going to open up anyway. So I guess trying to get small groups just trains you to keep groups is more of a shooting discipline thing.

The bottom line, though, is if you can keep multiple shots within even a foot-wide group you're likely to disable your target, and like Carbuff says, the more holes you punch in an area, the more likely you are to hit something vital, induce bleeding, or otherwise do damage.
If someone blows up a school with a bomb they go after the bomber ... if someone shoots up a school they go after the gun.

A privilege is just a right that has been taken away by government.

Political correctness is cowardice wrapped in a lie.
