::Model Guide>Nissan>2002>Altima>Stillen Altima Project Car

If you are an old-time Nissan enthusiast, chances are likely that you have at least one Stillen aftermarket part on your car. Stillen (short for championship race car driver Steve Millen) is primarily famous for it's huge performance parts catalog for the last generation 300ZX. For the front wheel drive crowd, Stillen has made a name for itself with its Maxima supercharger kit. Stillen was also one of the early believers in the first gen Infiniti Q45's performance potential by offering aftermarket parts.

Thus we decided to pay a visit to Stillen's headquarters located near Irvine, California. And we were pleasantly surprised to see the efforts being put into developing and tuning aftermarket parts for Nissan's new offerings including 2002 Altima, SE-R, and of course the new Z (even though we didn't see one on the premises). Even the new Q45 will see some Stillen upgrades according to a Stillen source. The highlight of the tour came when we were shown Stillen's Altima project car. The car was shown at the recent SEMA show and is a stunner especially when adorned with orange Lamborghini spec paint!

More than just looks, Stillen adds a signature strut tower braces, AP Racing high capacity brake system, Eibach springs, prototype dual exhausts, cold-air intake, and finally Yokohama Tires and Stillen/Enkei GTV wheels. To extend the Altima's already aggressive stance, Stillen added a custom grille plus front, side and rear body kit parts.

We weren't able to test the car ourselves but the time we spent in the passenger seats on the street made us believe this Altima has impressive acceleration and handling.

Stay tuned as Stillen plans to upgrade the pre-production interior with more of their magic and also finalize on a production exhaust system.
