The Detroit 2001 North American
International Auto Show is quite possibly the most important auto show for Nissan
in it's long history. It’s ironic that a Japanese automaker will go into the American
Big Three’s home and promote it’s turnaround story and may quite possibly steal
the show. Nissan/Infiniti will have a total of four concept debuts, a sports car,
a pocket-rocket, a full size truck, and a luxury cross-over SUV.
There’s a little something for everyone at the automotive event of the year.
Nissan Z Concept Two words pretty much sum up this debut, "It’s back!" After the heart breaking
retirement of the legendary Z series in 1996, Nissan has resurrected the famous
final letter in sports cars. FreshAlloy.com brings it to you first.
How's 260 bhp, 6 speed manual, rear wheel drive and 20" wheels/tires sound?

Nissan Sentra SE-R The much-talked about Sentra SE-R will finally come out of the covers in Detroit.
Expect a 2.5L 4-banger based on Nissan’s new QR series that will pump out anywhere near
170 bhp. Look for interior and exterior tweaks that could possibly make this pocket rocket look like it’s super-brother, the
GT-R.
Nissan Alpha T Truck Concept Little has been leaked about this concept, but it is expected to give a glimpse at the up-coming full-size truck.
Rumor has it that the Toyota Tundra is an inside joke to Nissan designers with it’s quasi-full-size truck dimensions; so we expect the
Alpha T to be a true competitor to the likes of Ford’s F-150 and Chevrolet’s Silverado. Look for an engine based on the Infiniti Q45’s 4.5L V8 that could be pushing over the
300 bhp mark.
Infiniti FX45
Infiniti’s rapid-fire turnaround starts with the 2002 Q45. Following about 12 months later will be the 3-Series challenger based on last year’s XVL Concept. For Detroit, Infiniti will roll out an all-new concept.
